PRAYER FOR WIDOWS & WIDOWERS

Most loving God and Heavenly Father,

You are acquainted with the feeling of our infirmities and the pain and sorrow brought on by death. Therefore, hear the prayer, O God, of those of us who experience the grief associated with the loss of our loving spouses.

You know the loneliness of our long nights and the anxiousness of our days. Provide the comfort needed to bring an end to our tears and the days of our sorrows. Renew us with the joy of living as we approach the ending of our season of mourning.

May the bond of your love be our foundation of hope, as we cherish the love and precious memories of our loved ones that will forever be held in our hearts.

In Christ’s name we pray, Amen.

NOW I HAVE CONTACTED YOU BECAUSE THERE IS ONE OF THEM THAT CAME FROM YOUR COUNTRY AND HAS A SIMILLER NAME WITH YOU.

ALL EFFORTS THAT WE HAVE MADE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THIS CONTRACTOR HAVE ALL FAILED,AND IT IS VERY CLEAR TO ALL OF US THAT WE WILL NOT BE ABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH THIS CONTRACTOR MAY BE HE IS DEAD AND HE DID NOT NAME ANY OTHER BENEFICIARY AS HIS NEXT OF KIN.

ALL WE HAVE DECIDED TO DO NOW IS THAT,WE ARE LOOKING FOR HONEST MEN AND WOMEN OF GOD THAT WILL MAKE GOOD USE OF THESE FUNDS TO DO THE WORK FOR THE LORD

Please feel free to respond with your comments, and with your permission, some of your comments may be included in the text, giving you the credit where indicated. It is my prayer that when you have completed this reading, your head will be lifted, your heart will be merry, and your soul encouraged as you experience the transforming work of The Comforter.

For you shall forget the shame of your youth, and you shall not [seriously] remember the reproach of your widowhood any more. For your Maker is your Husband – the Lord of hosts is His name – and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; the God of the whole earth He is called.” Isaiah 54:4-5 AMP

What words of comfort are recorded in the prophetic book of Isaiah; living words that if received by faith, will transform our place of widowhood into an expectant jubilee. Notice the emotions that those in widowhood are sure to confront, no matter how grounded in the faith he or she may be, especially during the passage of the early days, weeks, months, and for some, even years of widowhood: fear, shame, perplexity, depression, and reproach.

Allow me to share my heart, come into your experience, and be your companion as you traverse the widowhood journey. As the Holy Spirit leads me, I will describe what each of these emotions entail, and share the gems of wisdom the Holy Spirit has imparted to me as I have walked this pathway of widowhood.

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassions, and God of all encouragement; who encourages us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to encourage those who are in any tribulation whatever, through the encouragement with which we ourselves are encouraged of God,” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (Darby).

This is what I believe the Lord has compelled me to do – encourage you! Please share this group with your family or friends who are in their time of widowhood.
