Spiritual Warfare
(Ephesians 6:10-13)

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might. 11 Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore, take up the full armor of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm.

The Women's Dept. of the PNBC is working on a project called: The Battered Woman Ministry Project- Shoe Box.

We will be taking a shoe box and decorating it and filling it with personal items for the women in the shelter. I would like to invite your Women's Ministry to take on this project and make a shoe box too.

The box can contain things for:
Children-
new born baby items
book
game
art set
stationery set
jewelry making kit
pillow
back pack (filled with the items)

Women- Facial kit
Pedicure kit
Coffee or Tea care package
Thinking of you package
Devotional set
Stationery set
Relaxing set

This shoe box is a gift of love.

The box would then be presented to the women on behalf of your women's ministry.

I hope that you would consider this gift of love project for your Women's Ministry.

God Bless You!

Thousand U.S. children a year suffer strokes
Dr. John Lynch of the National Institutes of Health estimates that about 1,000 infants a year suffer a stroke during the newborn period or before birth — plus another 3,000 to 5,000 children from age 1 month to 18 years.
Why are 5,000 infants and children a year experiencing a disease of the aged, and can it happen to your children? Hosea 4:6 says “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” So let’s test your knowledge.
1. what causes stroke
2. what are the risk factors
3. which foods contribute to heart disease and stroke
4. is the prayer of faith and faith confession enough
Do your children live on happy meals, hot dogs and sugary snack foods? Eating a lot of fat, particularly Trans or saturated fat, sugar and cholesterol is associated with stroke (as well as other diseases).
Do your children drink carbonated beverages? If so they are calcium deficient. Calcium deficiency is also a risk factor for stroke. Carbonated beverages also remove magnesium from the heart (30 mg. per can) which contributes to heart disease and heart failure. Carbonated beverages as well as some juice drinks contain benzene, a solvent that dissolves solids (organs), gases (oxygen) and liquids (blood, lymph).
But, you say, I bless the food we eat. Unfortunately, as our first mother Eve discovered, not everything that’s edible is food. God said that food is produced in a garden not a laboratory. The prayer of sanctification is not magic, it does not change poison (such as anti-freeze, found in most snack foods and drinks) into food. It sanctifies that which has been ordained by God as food, the tree that Eve ate from was not ordained as nourishment for the body. Growth and cell division in many parts of the body happen only in childhood. That is why the foods they eat, and drugs they take can impact their health for a lifetime. Children are an inheritance from the Lord and it is our responsibility to help them live long enough to reach their God given destiny so on this mother’s day lets make a covenant to TEACH THE CHILDREN WELL.
