Somebody once asked me a powerful question that I want to ask you right now. Here goes...Could you forgive someone who has hurt you mentally, physically or emotionally?

If you are like millions of people, especially women, the answer would be a simple no. You can't. Don't feel bad, you are not alone. My name is R.A. Clark and I am the author of "When God Stopped Keeping Score" and even I didn't know how to go about it.

I say this not to challenge your faith or spirituality. But, to get you to think about the idea of forgiveness and do we really know what it means to forgive. Everybody thinks that they know what forgiveness is. Not just saying the words I am sorry, but the true biblical form of forgiveness. I thought I did.

I soon learned that just because we are a child of God and follow the word of God, we don't get everything that the bible says to do right the first time. Forgiveness is one of them. I had to learn that the hard way. Now I am spreading the word on what I learned.

Did you know that with... Anger… Resentment… Guilt… Pain… For millions of people, especially women, not every prison comes with a set of bars.

That’s because at some point, no matter who you are, regardless of your race, creed, religion or even gender, everyone has suffered at the hands of another person. You are not alone.

The question is whether this wrong happened two minutes or twenty years ago, whether this person is living or dead, why are people still allowing themselves to suffer because of it?

Why is this pain still being allowed to destroy the very relationships that they have with their friends, family, God and even themselves?

The question is now, have you truly learned to forgive? If so, how did you find that moment. please share with the group. If not, what do you feel is holding you back?
