But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;

During my prayer and meditation time as I pondered what to write the Holy Spirit brought to mind the Vacation Bible School lessons and how the characters in each lesson were a change agent for God in making a different in the lives of His people.

God used Moses to lead His people out of bondage (Exodus 3:1-12). Ester jeopardized her life to save God's people (Ester 4:5-17); Lydia used her resources so that the gospel could be preached (Acts 16:11-15, 38-40; God used Nehemiah to rebuild the wall around the city as a source of protection; and He used Philip to proclaim the gospel and Philip's audience received Christ and was saved (Acts 8:26-40). These were ordinary people God used to do extraordinary things in the lives of His people.

That being said, these questions come to mind, being that we are the chosen of God are we allowing Him to use us to make a difference in the lives of others? Are we asking ourselves am I allowing God to use me in His service promoting kingdom growth and glorifying Him? Does the world see the manifestation of Christ in your life?

Be a change agent for God. We are saved to be used by God.
