The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?  When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though (an)a host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

In light of all the stresses that are occurring in our world today we can become overwhelmed and feel down and out; let me say trust in the Lord with all thine heart and fear nothing and no one because God is with you and I. God is true to His word. God asks us to cast all your cares upon Him and He will take care of them (1 Peter 5:7 paraphrased). God makes this request of us because He cares and loves us so much until He wants us joyful and worry-free.

Isaiah 41:10 asks us Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. In John 16:33 tells us why we are to fear nothing and no one because our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ has overcome this world.

Let me close with these encouraging words, when we worry talk to God; when we need comfort call on God the indwelling Holy Spirit; when we cry let some of our tears be tears of joy because there is joy in Jesus Christ. God knows our thoughts, our needs, and our tears. God is true to His word will supply all our needs.

Trust God and never doubt for He will see us through; He will replace sadness, worry with comfort and joy.
