WHY SO CONFUSED OVER LANGUAGES?

So is the NT right or wrond. Your last post as it relates to salvation is right in line with the gospels. However, I don't have a hang-up with translations, and this is where there is a disconnect. Where you say Yahshua, I say Jesus, but I believe this is the same person, the only clear difference is that you prefer to call Him by His name in Hebrew, and I don't have a problem with that, but I more often then not address Him as Jesus which was His name in greek.

To this very day you may go and visit Jerusalem and outside and around the wall of the city there are burial sites dated back to the first century, and the head stones are marked with the star of David and the names of Jews buried there are in greek. Think about it for a moment, do you really think that the Romans, during there occupation of Israel were really going to learn and master Hebrew when they believe that all cultures were inferior to there own? No. In the Gospel of Mark 15:2, Pilate and Jesus have a conversation, now either pilate was learned in Hebrew or Jesus knew greek?

Objectively consider this, you are of African decent, you live in America, and you speak, read, and write in English fluently. You are a member of one of the Black Israelite movements. You are learning another language that is dominant and welcome in Israel, but it is not the dominant language in the USA, yet you have accepted the teachings of this movement as truth, and that's fine.

My point is 'Translations do not lose truth.'

2+2=4 In english speaking countries, russian, african, european, and south american. Would you agree?

agua in spanish, and water in english are the same thing. Would you agree?

Manana is spanish and tomorrow in english mean the same thing. Would you agree?

If these are true then why is it so hard to believe that the truth in Hebrew can be translated into other languages in order to spread that truth. Even the Jews had to adapt to this, once in Babylonian captivity. If you've read the Hebrew Bible you know that there is a book in that canon where ch. 3-5 are written in aramaic, because that was the dominant language used during the babylonian occupation. Do you know which book?

There is nothing wrong with learning hebrew and greek. But to say that 'YOU HAVE TO PRONOUNCE THIS THIS WAY ONLY' makes you guilty of the thing that Moses warned against, legalism. By whatever name you choose to call Him, would you agree that the One true and Living God, the God of Abraham, Moses, David, Jesus, Paul, is bigger than any one language? If He has the power to speak creation then He has the power to spread truth to all men in there native tongue. Agree or disagree?
