Why is Resurrection Sunday sooooo important?

WHO is This Jesus of Nazareth, they call the Christ, son of man, son of God, messiah, saviour.

Biologically he is both son of man and son of God.

Virgin Mary his mother, God Almighty His Father. Joseph his step dad.

He is son of David (descendant of King David of Israel)
Joseph’s line Luke 3.23 traced Josephs genealogy (legal father) to David through his son Nathan (3rd son of David via Bathsheba)

Mary’s line Matt 1 traces to Abraham through King David by King Solomons line. (4th son of David via Bathsheba)

Any measure indicates he was David’s son/ entitled to David’s throne.

Did he fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament?

One scholar, J. Barton Payne, has found 574 OT verses

Alfred Edersheim found 456 OT verses
Others reckon 351

Conservatively, Jesus fulfilled at least 300 or more prophecies in His earthly ministry.

Prophecies found in at least 26 books of OT

What is the chance?
Mathematician Peter Stoner worked out the statistical chance of Jesus fulfilling all the prophecies about him.
If there were only 8 prophecies that chance is 10 ^17

that is 10 and 17 0’s

EG if you take 10^17 silver dollars and lay them on the face of Texas. They’ll cover all of the state two feet deep. Now mark one of these silver dollars and stir the whole mass thoroughly, all over the state. Blindfold a man and tell him that he can travel as far as he wishes, but he must pick up the one silver dollar that has the special mark on it. What chance would he have of getting the right one? Just the same chance that the prophets would’ve had of writing these eight prophecies and having them all come true in any one man, from their day to the present time.

What is the chance of just 48 prophecies being fulfilled in one person? the incredible number 10^157.

How long does it take to count to 10^157?

Counting 250 per minute non stop it would take 19 million years.

Professor Stoner then made the comment that, "Any man who rejects Christ as the Son of God is rejecting a fact proved perhaps more absolutely than any other fact in the world."

WHAT Did Jesus do to prove His Divinity and Messiahship?

Luke 7:21-22 At that very hour Jesus healed many people of their diseases, afflictions, and evil spirits, and He gave sight to many who were blind. So he replied to the messengers, “Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor.

He preached the gospel of the Kingdom
He turned water into wine
He fed the 5000 men on a few loaves and fish

He fed the 4000 men on a few loaves and fish

He walked on water

John 20.30 Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book.

John 21.25 Jesus did many other things as well. If every one of them were written down, I suppose that even the whole world would not have room for the books that would be written.

Paul, in his defense to King Festus, he says Acts 26.22-23

Jesus prophesied his own death and resurrection

Matt 12.40 & Luke 11.29 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

His resurrection witnessed.

and later to Paul on Damascus Road.

There are many accounts

Luke 1.1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us,

Resurrection expert Dr Gary Habermas catalogued over 3400 academic works on the fate of Jesus from conservative, critical and sceptical scholars in English, German and French from this research he was able to show that of the 3400 works studied the majority of writers accept the following twelve events as historical fact.

Jesus died by crucifixion

Jesus was buried

His death caused the disciples to despair and lose hope believing that his life was ended

The tomb was empty a few days later

The disciples had experiences that they believed were literal appearances of the risen Jesus

The disciples were transformed from doubters who were afraid to identify themselves with Jesus to bold Proclaimers of his death and resurrection

This message was the centre of preaching in the early church

This message was especially proclaimed in Jerusalem where Jesus died and was buried earlier

The church was born in Jerusalem and grew quickly

Orthodox Jews who believed in Jesus made Sunday their primary day of worship

James the half brother of Jesus converted to the faith when he saw what he believed was the resurrected Jesus

Paul was converted to the faith after his experience which he believed was with the risen Jesus.

WHEN Did it take place

Jesus was crucified at the Jewish feast of Passover
Most likely Friday 3 April 33AD

But there is reasonable case for the argument of 2 days earlier on the Wednesday (Thursday being a special Sabbath day for Passover).

As we walk with Jesus every day of the year, we can therefore be confident that our faith is based not only on subjective personal assurance but on reliable historical data.

Does it matter which day Jesus was Crucified on?
No; it’s interesting but believe one or the other it won’t affect your salvation.

WHERE Did it take place
Golgotha, the place of the skull (an infamous location just outside the walls of Jerusalem where countless minor criminals had been crucified before and after).

There is no contention from scholars, sceptics or unbelievers that this was the location of Christ's death.

The burial taking place in a new cave tomb and arranged by Joseph of Arimathea, a wealthy Jewish man, a councillor of the Sanhedrin who awaited God's kingdom, who wishes to ensure that the corpse is buried according to Jewish Law, (dead bodies could not be left exposed overnight.)

Body is wrapped in a new shroud and laid in a rock carved tomb.

The Jewish historian Josephus, writing later in the century, described how the Jews regarded this law as so important that even the bodies of crucified criminals were taken down and buried before sunset.[11]

Joseph does only the bare minimum to observe the Law,

wrapping the body in a cloth, no mention of washing (Taharah) or anointing it.

This may explain why Mark mentions an event prior to the crucifixion in which a woman pours perfume over Jesus.[12] Jesus is thereby prepared for burial even before his death.

WHY - perhaps the most important question we should ask
Why did Jesus die? Why was it necessary for him to be resurrected?

DIE
The death of Jesus was part of a divine plan to save humanity.

For Christians it is through Jesus's death that people's broken relationship with God is restored. This is known as the Atonement.
God’s relationship with Adam was broken through sin,

God had told Adam, “in the day you eat of it you shall surely die” his spirit died and his body began to decay and ultimately die.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Rom 6.23

God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith Rom 3.25

He then would have had to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the end of the ages, He has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself. Heb 9.26

RESSURECTED
The resurrection amounts to the Father's clear signal that Jesus is the powerful Son of God who has conquered death & reigns, Lord of all.

…and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord. Rom 1.4

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification. Romans 4.25

The resurrection showed that Jesus was the Son of God.

The resurrection provides hope of a future resurrection and eternal life are well grounded in historical fact.

This leaves us with a burning question that everyone must answer –

If Jesus was who He said he was – Son of God
That he paid the price for your sin on the cross

That He rose again for our justification.

If his claim is true -

I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14.6

As Peter proclaimed in Acts 4.12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.

John 3.18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.

Mark 16.16 Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.

So how will you then live ??
Will you:-

Believe on Jesus as the Christ, your Messiah, repent of your sin?

Follow him

Become his disciple

Be obedient to his words, receive salvation & forgiveness of sin.

Make a decision today.

If you have already committed to do this will you live as a disciple?

Romans 6:6 We know that our old self was crucified with Him so that the body of sin might be rendered powerless, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.

Colossians 3.8-10 But now you must put aside all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9Do not lie to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices, 10and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

Will you make a decision to be his disciple – not just a church goer?

Will you renew your mind and actions in obedience to Him?

With such infallible proofs, we can say with confidence that Jesus was raised from, the dead, to permanently, once and for all, defeat sin, Satan and death.
"To Crown A King"tag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2012-02-03:916966:Topic:28835182012-02-03T19:56:30.763ZEld Angelia Graphenreedhttps://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/ProphetessAngeliaGraphenreed

Tonight we will discuss the recent crowning of a king in the Body of Christ. Is this acceptable or is it a blasphemous act? Watching the video, you hear and see things that vex the spirit of a Christian, because there is no king, but God. Listen carefully to the introduction of the said king.

Eddie Long Crowned King

"This is God's government. This is a scroll thats 312 yrs old. These are only given to cities that need to be released in to a new anointing. I have dual-citizenship in Isreal. On behalf of the "jewish" people, the land of Isreal, and the GOD of Isreal I want to make a presentation. Praise God. Amen... (calls Long forth) He is a king. GOD has blessed him. He's a humble man. But, in him is kingship. In him is royalty. In him was the land of Isreal...raised up in a city and GOD now wants to anoint him. (Long is wrapped in the Torah scroll) He's wrapped in the word of GOD. He's sealed by the Blood of the MESSIAH. He is sealed to come out with a new anointing. The kingship was in him; the power was in him. Its gonna come on. He is hidden in the word of GOD. Sitting between 2 courtrooms. Justice and Blessing. This will either arouse the realm of "death" in you or it will arouse the realm of life." - Rabbi Messer

Of course there is much more said than the quote above. My reason and point of this discussion is to address the error in this. I've seen or heard tell of such behavior, ever. There is an anti-christ spirit being released into the Church Body. When will the people of God take a stand? Martin Luther King was penned as saying, "If you dont stand for something, you'll fall for anything." This is still true. Too manyare being quiet, planking behind "judgement". This is not judging. This is a great wrong being committed in the Body of Christ. To say nothing is to silently agree with it.

2. Woman blames Satan

D. Many will stubbornly persist and try to cover their sins, in an attempt to
justify their sinful lifestyle and hide from God’s judgment, instead of
obeying
the commands of the gospel of Jesus to be saved –

E. Let us explore how many try to hide their sins

Body

I. HIDING YOUR SINS IS NOT THE WAY TO AVOID GOD’S PUNISHMENT

A. Just Live A Good Moral Life

A number of people believe they will be saved from the wrath of God and
live with God in heaven, by just living a good and moral life, however
this
ploy to hide your sins and be saved will not work

1. In Acts 10:1-2,

48,

the Bible describes a man that lived a good moral life

2. He was lost in sin until he heard and obeyed the preaching of the
gospel of Jesus Christ

B. Profess Religion

Another way others try to cover up their sins is by professing some
religion or some denomination that is not authorized by the Holy
Scriptures

1. There is only one true religion or church - Mathew
16:13-18;

Galatians 3:27-28;

Ephesians 4:5.

2. These individuals may be sincere but scripturally wrong and need to
come to obedience of the truth –
Matthew

Matthew

15:7-9

C. Pervert The Holy Scriptures.

Others, try to hide their sins and escape God’s judgment by perverting the
scriptures to justify what they are doing to their own destruction –
II
Peter
3:16;
Galatians 1:6-9. All of these tricks and devices of the devil
cannot save
you

II. YOU MUST BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST TO BE SAVED

A. Believe Jesus

Instead of hiding your sins, and being condemned to death, why not believe:

1. Jesus is the Christ the Son of the living God that died on the cross

2. God His Father raised Him to life for the forgiveness of your sins,
that you might have life in Him

3. Decide to renounce your own will and submit yourself to Jesus to be
saved –
John 3:16

B. Accept Salvation.

1. Hear the Word of God, the gospel of Christ, the good news that God has
sent us peace and reconciliation through His Son –
Romans

10:17

2. Believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God – John
8:24;
Hebrews

11:6

3. Faith in Jesus leads one to the command to repent of your past sins –
Luke

13:3;
Acts

3:19

4. Confess with your mouth, Jesus is the Son of God – Romans
10:9-10

5. Be baptized in water for the forgiveness of your sins – Mark
16:16;
Acts
2:38

Conclusion

A. Are you covering or hiding your sins?

B. Are you tired of playing games with yourself and with God?

C. Why not decide to obey Jesus today and save yourself from the wrath of God
on the disobedient.

D. Do not delay, tomorrow is not promise to you, now is the accepted time,
and now is the day of salvation. Why not come now as we stand and sing
the
Savior’s invitation.
Mosestag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2010-05-20:916966:Topic:13276862010-05-20T13:36:36.873ZClifford DeVinehttps://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/CliffordDeVine

I came across a article you wrote and its following correspondence on deliberate sin. I thought I should write since I myself have suffered from this same type of presumption with some rather extraordinary results. At present I have suffered from Two demonic attacks and am presently dealing with a third. Let me explain; I received Jesus Christ as lord and savior in 1979 at age 15 and was committed to the faith. confirmed with a certain gift to see things on people. The Holy Spirit Showed me cancer on a friend of mine which at the time I thought was a demon because she appeared to look like death. 10 years later she developed cancer and appeared as what I had seen. I was to young and Inexperience to realize what God was doing in my life and how much he had blessed me. Needless to say the enemy set out a assignment against me. Soon after I was saved a disruption occurred in the home where I lived. We were force to move and I wound up leaving the church where I got saved and had to look for a new one. I had suffered a abandonment by my mother and father early on in life and was staying with my Grandmother. Initially we had moved in with her daughter in Brooklyn n.y. but me and my brother were not welcome really and I wound up going to Queens to stay with my mother. I attempted to find another church but the kids there were not very friendly and tend to stay in there own groups. It was hard not having parents that were attending the church with me. It sort of made me look like a outsider. After a while I got discourage and found friends in the streets of Queens. I began to drink because it made me feel better. I began to smoke marijuana for the same reason. I was about 17 at this time. I continued to believe in God and pray but my walk had took a different turn. God was still dealing with me and I continued to learn things through radio ministries and reading my bible. and felt a call to preach the gospel. But addiction had set in and lust for woman with it. at age 18 I began to smoke crack cocaine and deal with whores. This vexed me at times but I could not stop. I wound up in shelters and living on the streets. I stole and sold my self for drugs and I was beaten and abused and I abused others. It got so bad that I would Smoke My cocaine through my tears with my heart in my through.

I missed Jesus so much and wanted to stop but could not. My conviction was heavy on me and the only thing I could do to relieve it was do more drugs. After a while God helped me and I got arrested and wound up having to go to a 18 month drug program. This was it I could get myself Back together and back in Christ, or so I thought.

Although I wasn't doing drugs my sexual drives were still in full operation and I began to secretly masturbate from time to time in the bathroom. One day while doing this the conviction of the lord came upon me and instead of stopping right then and there I continued until finished. Very soon after I began be traumatized; because the two conflicting thoughts (sexual fantasizing and the Lord voice) in my head at the same time some how became twisted into a blasphemous thought. The more I tried not to think about it the more It bombarded and intruded on my mind. It got so bad that I couldn’t function for fear. I tried to tell people about it, pastors, associates, friends but no one seemed to be able to understand or have a answer without me telling them the actual thought. and I couldn't do that. So I drank more and more. Now drugs were my escape from this private torment I was in. Well bringing down to present day. Just last year I am 46 now 25 years later I began to come out of my addiction and began to make the attempt to follow after Jesus. Something strange happen. After giving my pastor a hug and leaving here office this one day, as I crossed the street something hit me in my bowels Unseen. A great sensation of anxiety began to well up out of nowhere. I felt like I was loosing it so I began to look on the computer for causes for anxiety. This lasted for three days. Then that night I had a dream a hand came out of the sky and scooped five small men out of my belly through a hole the hand had made and what look like a football shaped head octopus with a creepy smile across its face. The next day no anxiety. I did not consider this much I was just thankful it was gone. thought to myself that could have been the lords hand removing those things. Didn't think they were demons. 3 days later out of nowhere I was drinking and ran into some people and one guy was clearly gay and he kept on hugging me in greeting and shaking my hand I allowed it to continue because I thought he might have some cocaine and one more time wouldn’t hurt, but as he kept greeting me the anxiety began to build again in my bowels and by the time we parted I was full blown again. That night I felt something under my skin move up the left side of my body and sit over my chest. After two and a half weeks of not being able to go to the bathroom and pain in my chest I was sitting on the couch and some how I knew that that night I would not wake up in the morning. I began to pray and felt God standing in front of me. And I pleaded for my life and expressed my eternal hope which I held on to all my life. I ended by simply resigning to what ever the lord would do and simply said, Lord I'm afraid and I wept and went to sleep. To my surprise I awoke! Well I went on a campaign to cast out the demons and get better. I called every body and had them pray for me and with me, after a few attempts the demons were dispatched. I went to the hospital and went on laxatives for a while. I went back to church. after a while I met a lady there and began dating. (we had sex) It went fine for a while but soon it got stagnant and we agreed to have a drink to relax things a bit. Need I say more. well the lord firmly convinced me to stop the drugs but I reasoned I could still drink although I said I would not. After a while we broke up. I was hurt about it. I really wanted to be a example of a godly man to her and I blew it really badly. I continued to drink and relived myself with a couple of prostitutes here and there to get over the hurt. (bad Idea) The lord came to me in a dream in the form of Joseph prince. He was preaching and saying sometimes people don’t get what God is trying to say to them, and I'm shaking my head like I know what he's talking about; and he look at me like what are you shaking your head about do you even know. He said sometimes the word doesn't hit you like a sword through the gut sometimes its a little here and a little there" Then he looked down my throat into my belly and I woke up but I couldn’t stay up a deep sleep was forcing back to the bed. and I dreamed, I dreamed I was in place and I was talking to a man who said to me that he was dead, and that he died, he was so sad and grief stricken. I asked him wasn’t he saved and he said "you wont know that till you get here" It kept lamenting that only if he had someone to help him. and the a bunch of people came out praising God and came and got the man and they went off praising God; and I awoke. This put a end to my drinking and my messing around with prostitutes. I resigned to put my vices away and do the lords work and live his way. well I was working on a project a DVD to distribute on the illuminati and the coming new world order. while surfing the internet for information an erotic YouTube video appeared. I stopped to look for a moment felt to turn away but couldn’t. after the girl had finished dancing I turned but was already excited from the dance. I fought hard and long but the need to relieve myself was great and I gave into it. I reasoned that this was not fornication or adultery because there was no partner. I reasoned I was just going to relieve myself nothing more. Soon after a snake like spirit wrapped itself around my chest and neck and began squeezing the life out of me. Oh no I've done it again. This lasted for two weeks and I got everyone to pray for me and with me and I got delivered from it as well praise God. Now I was set. No drugs no alcohol no sexual immorality of any kind. Got it. Well while watching a movie called revelation ( about the last days and the illuminati's part in it, a satanic symbol caught my eye and a few second later that anxiety began to build up in the center of my chest. In my head I herd something say cast it off now. but I wasn’t sure. needless to say I waited to I was sure and then I began to cast it off in the name of the lord Jesus Christ. That night while I was sleeping a voice came along side my bed and whispered "I have it" I immediately began to pray and that morning woke up with a terrible pressure on the left side of my neck and chest and a lot of pressure build up in my head which till this morning I was still contending with. I prayed this morning and pleaded with the lord for mercy and he led me to read psalms 32. I'm presently believing God for my deliverance. Could I get some of your thoughts on all this and could you pray and ask God to lead your response I believe he will.
Spiritual Warfare: WRESTLE for 2010 blessings 17tag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2010-01-01:916966:Topic:11638702010-01-01T05:05:19.293ZAlexhttps://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/Alexalex

SIN

Another way to trouble your trouble is to get rid of sin from your life. In anything you are doing, you must remember that God is the Lord of harvest. You cannot live in sin and expect prosperity. You cannot cheat people and prosper. An adulterous man who does not repent would one day impregnate a woman outside marriage and that child of adultery would move into the family and dismantle the structures he has put up. So, anybody who is living in sin is sowing evil and as he sows evil, he would reap evil. So, sin is terrible. Hezekiah quoted a couple verses while talking about his beliefs. I want to show you something that the devil doesn't want you to see. I want you to see how the serpent is still there and how we keep repeating the same mistake again and again. The only way to break out of this cycle is to TRUST G-d. I want you to see how the serpent is still there and how we keep repeating the same mistake again and again. The only way to break out of this cycle is to TRUST G-d. When the bible uses the word "belief" its mainly talking about "TRUST" not whether or not you think something is true. The things we go through right now are related to trust as we're going to see. And as we go over these texts I ask that you pray and put your mind into these scenes so that you can see the bible "alive" as I do. The scene (like a movie) says more than what the words say. Come and see...

Genesis 3:22 And YHWH G-d said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Revelation 22:13:14 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

People, Eden was a TEST. Is there anyone without common sense who doubts this?

TEST
2 a : a means of testing: as (1) : a procedure, reaction, or reagent used to identify or characterize a substance or constituent (2) : something (as a series of questions or exercises) for measuring the skill, knowledge, intelligence, capacities, or aptitudes of an individual or group b : a positive result in such a test

I cannot do like Hezekiah on this and show you a scripture explicitly stating this fact. However, it is true. If you read Genesis 3, the serpent asks a peculiar question for someone just trying to deceive.

1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which YHWH elohim(G-d) had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath G-d said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

This serpent wanted to know what Eve knew. That in itself is a test. He's testing her to see if he can get her to rebel against G-d, with full knowledge that what he was asking her to do was against the command of her Creator.

The Commandment...
2 And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:
3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, G-d hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

The command was simple. They were not to eat from a particular tree; the very tree she is about to eat from. Well if she was given such a simple commandment then WHY is she about to eat from this tree? Is it so hard? Is it really so hard to NOT eat from this ONE tree when they had ALL THE OTHER TREES in the garden. And she knows this. That's why she said, seemingly in defense of YHWH, "We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden". I say this fruit is a test because it is symbolic of all sin.

It is strange to me that we get so much resistance when it comes to teaching that you should keep the commandments. Strange. Why? BECAUSE YOU CAN STILL DO SO MANY THINGS! Even if you want to calculate it out to over 500 things that you should/shouldn't do there are millions of things you shouldn't do but millions more things that you can do with no problem. You can do whatever you like.... so long as its "GOOD". But do you know what good is? What evil is? The law is your "schoolmaster" until you do. Adam and Eve had to be TOLD by their Creator which fruit would cause them to lose their immortality and die. How are you any better than them that you don't need to be told by your Creator about the things that can hurt you but that you don't know can hurt you because you've never experienced it.

The real reason Eve ate the fruit was because she didn't trust G-d. If she had she would have believed him over a serpent.

4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:
5 For G-d doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

What the serpent told Eve was contrary to what her Creator had told them (or told Adam who told her) but he basically made up a PLAUSIBLE excuse that CONFUSED her into thinking that eating the fruit was the right thing to do. Can you see? Can you see?

6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

When she "saw".... She didn't know the tree was good for food. She saw what the serpent WANTED HER TO SEE. She saw, through IGNORANCE, exactly what the serpent was trying to convince her of. If she was smart she might have said "YOU eat it! And if YOU live and become a god then I'll go ask my Creator why it is that YOU didn't die." That would have been smart but Eve wasn't thinking clearly because the desire to have the ONE thing she knew she was told she couldn't was already tempting. The IDEA (which was not true) of what it could do to her was more than enough to push her over the edge of reason. That is what deception is. Deception is a cunning use of trickery in order to fool someone into thinking one thing is another. When she saw the fruit she wasn't seeing what YHWH had said about the fruit, only what the serpent said.

7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

It says their eyes were opened. It doesn't say they were gods. What its basically saying is they had lost their innocence and they knew it. They had been tricked. What Is Sin?tag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2009-09-24:916966:Topic:10117442009-09-24T16:11:02.973ZJohnhttps://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/John
Now before anyone answers this please don't answer with what YOU THINK sin is but what does God say is sin!

We've all heard what man says is sin from dancing, drinking, clubbing, cursing and whatever else is determined by man to be sin. If you can't find it in the Bible then stop saying what you want to be sin as sin and show what God calls sin.

We've all heard what man says is sin from dancing, drinking, clubbing, cursing and whatever else is determined by man to be sin. If you can't find it in the Bible then stop saying what you want to be sin as sin and show what God calls sin.

In 1John 5:17, scripture says: All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death. So what is considered UNRIGHTEOUSNESS? Not what you think for sure but what God says.

1John 3:4 says, Whosoever commiteth sin transgresseth also the law; for sin is the transgression of the law. What is the transgression of the law, for some think the law is dead?

James 2:9 says, But if ye have respect to persons ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors. How many of us (be real and truthful) do have respect to persons and we put them on a pedestal over anyone else?

Romans 8:10 says, And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. So what is righteousness (and not what you think but what God says)?

Romans 14:23 says, And he that doubeth is damned if he eat, because he eateth not of faith, for whatsoever is not of faith is sin. Is everything we do of faith? We all talk flowery words on BPN to convince others but be honest.

1Timothy 5:20 says, Them that sin ribuke before all, that others also may fear. Do we really do this or use Matthew 7:1 to say we shouldn't judge when 1Corinthians 2:15 says, But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

We all have read, heard and seen where so many people say what they think is sin but can't find it in scripture because they made up what they say is sin. We point the finger at others and say they sin but can't find it in scripture. There is so much sin going on in churches today that go unpunished or talked about to keep it hushed or from fear of being kicked out. We just turn our backs or close our eyes as if it's not happening. But we can find sin in others not in our congregations. So please what is sin from what God says and not man's interpretation?
