Matthew 11:12- "And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force." (New King James Version)

What does it mean to be a revolutionary? A revolutionary is a person who rebels against a norm or a standard that was set up by others. Another way to describe what a revolutionary is would meant to go against the grain. When Matthew 11:12 states that we as Christians must be revolutionaries, that means that we got to be violent. Hold on, wait a minute!!! The scripture doesn't mean violent as in using your fists, guns, bombs, and carnal weapons. The scripture means violent as in using spiritual weapons such as praying, fasting, the word of God, and other spiritual weapons to destroy evil principalities and the Devil's kingdom. You must understand as a revolutionary, the weapons of warfare are not carnal, but mighty through pulling down strongholds and destroying every thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God.

Right know, we are remembering the greatest revolutionaries in the Bible who set a good example on how to fight against the grain. They are Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach, Obed Nego, Peter, The Apostle Paul, John the Baptist, and Timothy. They are the ones who have the zeal that we should have and the courage that we should have. We are the people who should rebel against unrighteousness.

When you are a revolutionary, you are turning the world upside down and lighting it on fire. When it comes to politics, we must be aware of the issues that affect us as Christians and take a stand on the Word of God concerning politicians who change the definition of marriage, the homosexual agenda, abortions, racism, church and state issues, poverty, and business executives who cheat on their taxes. We also must be revolutionaries who get mad concerning the mess in the churches when it comes to preachers denying the infallability of the bible, preachers who are being puffed up and narcissistic, sexual immorality, sugarcoating God's word, pulpit pimps who are money hungry, and pulpit pimps who turn the listeners and audiences into pulpit hoes.

Also, when you become a revolutionary, you are destroying stereotypes and the status quo. Like Jentezen Franklin says, you should be an image breaker. Because you're a child of God, you have the favor to reverse the curse. Yes, we know about the media that portrays African-Americans in a negative manner. There are rap videos, especially on BET, that show black men being thugs and mack daddy players, having their pants sagging showing their drawers, and wearing grills that do damage to the teeth. Also, the rap videos do depict black women who wear skimpy clothing that shows their goodies, being like hoochie mamas, degrading themselves, and dancing in a sexual manner. Sadly, there are impressionable children and teenagers who follow this example and think of these things as a norm without knowing the origins. The kids who have their pants sagging don't realize that this fashion has originated from prison. By the way, those who wear the State Property clothing don't realize that to be state property means to be a prisoner. The Devil is a liar!!! There should be a person who makes the clothing saying the phrase "Holy Ghost Property". These issues concerning negative portrayal of blacks need to be addressed on the pulpit. In addition to that, a revolutionary should take a stand against the mentallity that certain mannerisms such as dressing properly, being educated, and speaking in proper English is acting white. Also, we need to let our young people know that regardless of race, they are somebodies in Christ Jesus and apart from Jesus, they are nobodies. We must let them know that they are not defined by what people, especially Don Imus, say about them. They need to know that it's not what people say to them, but it's what they answer to. In addition, we need to be angry concerning rappers who drop the N bomb in their lyrics, glorify self and materialism, and refer to women as the B-word and the H-word. We thank God for Christian rappers such as Lacrae, The Cross Movement, and Da T.R.U.T.H. who are willing to be revolutionaries taking a stand against the wiles of the Devil, including stereotypes about blacks.

I want to let you know that God will use you for His Glory if you let yourself decrease and let Him increase. The revolutionaries in the Bible have left the legacy. It's time to take up the mantle that's being passed to us and be the forerunners of their legacy. Are you willing to do this?

I hope this message blesses you. Feel free to give your insights.

I love this! This is what the ministry God gave me is all about. New Vision. No I'm not a pastor yet, but I know God called me minister a New Vision to the church. And to do this you have to go against the status quo. And that means even in the church!

Traditionalism is messing us up! It's time to be revolutionary! It's time to wake up (See "It's time for the church to wake up!") and enlarge the kingdom by tearing down the devil's!

Amen to you Min JSud for answering the call. We'll take some mess for this in the church but w gotta do what God called us to do. Remember Mahalia took mess in the church the way that Kirk Franklin took it. But Kirk has opened the doors for others like Tye, and now that hype church music is the norm, the way Mahalia's blusey music is now classic. We may not want to but Church, lets move!

Be blessed beyond your wildest dreams!
