Simply stated do you feel as if God is pleased with the church, yes or no and why or why not?

Do you feel that we are a good representation of God?

When you pass a church what do you think? Do you think body of Christ? When you see a believer what do you think? Do you think, made in the image of God, habitat or dwelling place of the Holy Spirit?

In this present age are we offering God the best of our service, telling the world that the savior Is come?

I think that were missing the mark, i think that God is very displeased with the church. Why? because christians have fallen into a since of moral corruption by the influencdes of the governing body. most proclaimers are not proclaiming, I dont mean to be crirical but we should all take a look at ourselves and take the time to think and meditate on am I doing what God called me to do am I standing firm and being the module that "the model" would have me to be am I representing God or am I just another so called christian laying down legalistic ground rules elevating myself above anyone who threatens my man taught ability to live a upright life. flashing my works and my own philosophical idea of thinking rather than letting my light shine that all may see christ in me, beintg that example so those that are lost can see the change that God has and is working in our lives. my goal is to save souls, to tell as many people that I can about the debt that is owed to this man named jesus who stood in our stead through his substitutionary death that all may be saved. Rev I think if we can do that everyday God would be pleased with the church, all we can do is strive to get to a place where our conscience can say I made God proud.

I agree, many of our leaders do not preach the word for fear of members falling away i cant tell you any prophet that was popular they always had a unpopular message to popular people but it was their duty to preach against sin I however am more concerned with the salvation of souls than the legalistic patterns of worship we must have structure, we most do things that are pleasing and acceptable to God. i think your right people appear churchy they owner God with their lips but their hearts are far from him. That's one of the many problems, salvation isn't being preached, it's about me and how good I preach and how large my congregation is. I'd rather go to a church with 2 people, me and the minister preaching the Word exclusively than a church with 2,000 members listening to a great sermon for that ministers praise only and not really hearing about the Word. Just my take on things.

Sister Gigi and Brother William, I certainly agree with a lot of what you say. I had to go to a number of churches in order to find one that preaches God's Word and not be in a church where all I heard was man's word. I don't go to church for the warm fuzzy preachings just to fill the building. We need churches where people are being cut to the core with God's Word and not make them feel warm and fuzzy all over. A lot of churches have stopped preaching salvation and the significance of what our Saviour did for us. Most churches anymore are like going to an entertainment show with star performances. I don't care about huge churches, great speaches and being entertained. I want to learn God's Word only and period and learn what we as Christians are suppose to do. I feel a lot of this is for reasons you both stated and that is we have ministers (not all) that are preaching for themselves and not for God though they tell you but we aren't ignorant because we know that action speaks louder than words. I listen to what one says but I watch what they do and most times the action doesn't match the words spoken. I too remember when going to church was serious business and the elders corrected the youth instead of trying to be like them to make them likeable. If a minister is using God's Words to convict (and they should) and people stop coming then satan has them. We do live in the can't we all just get along age and don't bother me and I won't bother you generation. This preaching prospertity you get at times is for the world and when God's ideas of riches aren't what we think riches are (my feelings). It's the last church age and Laodicean church age (means rights of the people) is not in the hands of the people or have they any rights. It's big business in most cases. The Book of Colossians tell us how to be ready for Christ. No wonder He (because we are lukewarm and neither hot nor cold) will spue us out of His mouth.

Do you feel that we are a good representation of God?

Those who keep the Lord's commandments, are the ones that are good reps of God. It is them that are in the will of the Lord.

A person should look at the foundation of the Church. If that foundation is not Torah, then it has no true foundation. For what does it mean to be "in Christ"? As he stated,"if you love me, keep my commandments." What commandments? The same commandments that he obeyed... TORAH!

In this present age are we offering God the best of our service, telling the world that the savior Is come?

A survey has been done, and it has revealed that over 50% of "Christians" do not know the history of their faith. They cannot even explain in detail what they believe. So, it would be dangerous to tell the world about Jesus if you do not have your beliefs straight, and your foundation is on shaky ground.

People these days are asking intelligent, philosophical questions, and if you do not know your faith, you will be devoured. Create your foundation from Torah, biblical history, culture, context, and Greek, and you will have a solid foundation to get out there and win souls for Jesus!

If we go back to the ORIGINAL PATTERN OF WORSHIP and LEADERSHIP and SALVATION, then God will be pleased. First point, Christ only built ONE CHURCH that should bear his name (ownership) and his teaching only (doctrine). Second, we have various 'so called' ways to be saved when there's only been one method ever given in scriptures. I'm amazed at how many who call themselves by so many 'elevated' names are saying they are called by God and can't answer these two simple questions: 1. What is the Gospel? 2. How do you obey the Gospel?

The Gospel is that the kingdom of God is at hand(Mark 1:14-15). Jesus' death, burial, and resurrection is also tied into the Gospel(1 Cor 15:1-4).

How do you obey the Gospel?

Jesus said," If you keep my commandments, THEN you abide in my teachings. To obey the Gospel is to keep the Lord's commandments... from Keeping them, to Jesus' simple phrase," Believe in me."
