This triangle can dissolve the feelings of loneliness, desperation and depression that many will experience as the time grows closer to the holiday season. We define these words as following: Loneliness as a feeling where people experience a powerful surge of emptiness and solitude; Desperation is a loss of hope and surrender to despair; and Depression is a psychological disorder that affects a person's mood changes, physical functions and social interactions.

For some reasons loneliness, desperation, and depression seem to have a much stronger affect on us during the holiday season. This should be a time of joy, happiness and gladness. “God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3: 16).”

The emotional toll is so great until some individuals are move to comment suicide or sometimes hook up with individuals that they would not normally hook up with. Have no doubt; this is the kind of behavior Satan is counting on. This is his opportunity to get a foot hold in our lives.    Sometimes, the holiday season can be a lonely time for clergywomen who have no families. These women of God who have ministered the whole year, giving of their time and blessing others through their giftedness, go home to empty houses. This season, members and friends check on your pastor; express love and concern, even if your pastor tells you that she is alright.

The triangle of love, peace and joy gives us the freedom to have solace of mind even if you are spending the Holiday Season alone.

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you (John 14:27).”
