Paul was quite defensive in protecting the purity of the revleation God had given him for the church.  Doctrine is foundational to faith.  Wrong doctrine...wrong faith.  Paul calls it "The Faith".  There is only one true faith system of theology taught in the bible.  Our passion is to search it out and hold on to it.  What we know and understand we feed to our people.  Paul said to Timothy, "Commit thou to faithful men, that which you have received that they may be able to teach others also.".  Good mentoring and bible training is vital to sound ministry.  Too often we launch people into ministry without a strong foundation.  Galations was written to correct bad teaching.  I & II Peter mentions false teachers.  Throughout the New Testament the writers felt it necessary to protect "sound doctine" and warn the church concerning imbalances in teaching.  Read someones doctrinal statement before joining them.  It's important.

There is only one true faith system of theology taught in the bible.. What do you mean by this statement?
Paul talks about "the faith" in Eph 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ; 14 that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, 15 but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ— 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love.

It seems evident therefore that Paul says "The Faith" is the knowledge of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, unto a mature man in the full stature of Christ. Christ is the head of the church so our doctrine must be clear about Christ's position over the body and the way we grow in "The Faith" is by edifying each other in love.
Jerry do you believe Paul had the same faith as the rest of the Apostles?
