Answers to Bible Trivia

Q1.Why was it Moses and Elijah rather than anyone else that Jesus met while walking with three of his disciples?

Answer 1. Both Moses and Elijah were the ones there because they represented what was about to happen to Jesus. Moses represented the death of Christ and Elijah represented the resurrection of Christ.

Q2.What was the action or incidents that occur that justify your answer?

Answer 2. In the wilderness Moses experience Christ sufferings when he lifted the serpent. 'Just as Moses lifted the serpent so must the son of man be lifted.’ John 3:14. When Jesus was nailed he was then lifted up to die. So Moses represented the death Christ was to suffer and Elijah who was swept up to heaven therefore representing the resurrection. 2 King 2:11

There are many people in the bible that walked in righteousness, many that were prophet but no other person other than these two men experience Christ's death or resurrection. In relation to Enoch the bible state God took him not that he was swept into heaven as with Elijah and Jesus

Q3. What symbolic representation is there with the cross (shape) in terms of us, earth, heaven and Jesus?

Answer 3. The cross is comprised of two "beams" horizontal, which represents relationship between mankind here on earth and vertical, which represents relationship between God in heaven and mankind here on earth. Jesus became the "bridge" between the two that connected us together. Before Jesus, there was disconnection. When they crucified Jesus and stretched his hands the gulf was bridged allowing us to reach God through Jesus.

Q4. Which woman having been denied her right under the Levirate Law as promise to her was left no choice but to disguise herself in order to become a mother?

Answer 4. Tamar ( The Levirate Law allows for where a woman and man is married and the man dies without there being any children for the woman to have the next unmarried male and so forth until there are no more unmarried male the first child of the subsequent married would be know as the first husband's child hence Onan did not impregnate Tamar and displease) Tamar had Judah's first son who died childless she was then in line with the law given the second son Onan who did not want to give his seed to his older brother therefore rather than impregnate Tamar he spilled his sperm and displease God after he died Judah had one more unmarried son who he promise Tamar but failed to keep the promise she was force to disguise herself in order to become pregnant by Judah therefore claiming her right to motherhood. (please read Genesis 38)

Q5. What is the name of the woman or women who changes the face of Jewish law in winning a great victory by demanding rights of property through the right of inheritance where there are no male children?
