Can You Lie And Do Evil Behind Closed Doors And Still Be A Church Leader ?

A church Deacon was given a cashier's check by an elderly church mother, (his grandmother), to drop in the mail to the church, he had no authority to sign her name, he was not on her bank account, and since he refused to get a job over the last 20 years, it was not his money.  What you hear is the Deacon talking about keeping it, which he did, instead of turning it over to the church which he did not.

This is not the only theft he has committed.  What message is a Pastor sending when you allow this? Should the Deacon be silenced, made to pay restitution and apologize to the congregation?

What does it profit a man to gain the whole world then lose his soul. Can you lie, steal church tithes, assault, harass, slander, forge checks, scheme and stalk, make false reports of terrorism to the FBI, make false reports of money laundering to IRS to get revenge on your enemies, but pray a good convincing prayer at church, jump and shout, cry and foam at the mouth, and lead a congregation?
