Church and health reform

My first discussion that I posted was entitled "Let's get the earth back" We dealt with the truth about the church taking the responsibility of making sure that we dominate the earth(Gen. 1:26). One of the things i would like to ask is what is the church's stance on health reform? I know that some like the president and others don't like him, but the truth of the matter is that we have 20% of Americans who don’t have it, and up to fifty percent don't have adequate health care. I have a man in my church who works at a well known department store and he hurt his ankle. He went to the doctor and by the time he paid for the co-pay and x-rays he was unable to afford to come back and even get the results. This is a problem for our nation because this man has a job but still can't afford to get the proper care he needs. Now he has to use a cane to get around and he is only 26 years old. This is really about poor people getting the help that they need!!
