It shouldn't have ever occured! We as leaders are supposed to be TRANSFORMED by the renewing of our minds and not conformed to the ways of the world. Why is it everyone (including church leaders) want to be Politically Correct? Jesus wasn't "Politically" Correct.

This is what I mean. These people are ordained by the state and have to be politically correct to what is told to them or they loose their church and monies. They are please men and not God. They are concerned with the world's rights and not God's rights. They are concerned with being liked by man and not by God. Jesus warned us in Matthew 24 so we should not be surprised. What we need to be is alert and recognize these false teachers and preachers. We're not suppose to be ignorant nor tolerable. I'll say it again, these people are following Satan and not God and taking people to the lake of fire along with them giving warm fuzzy feeling to what people want to hear and not what they need to hear which is truths and that is God's Word. Don't follow man, follow Jesus and you'll be alright. God bless.

If you go onto COGIC.com and read his address, he states his position on these issues. I had the same feeling as you until I read his address to the body at large of COGIC. This document was signed many years ago by people who concerned about the quality of life (especially towards the Jews who were murdered and etc.) but the Gay & Lesbian community took as if this document fits their agenda and Bishop Blake addresses this as well. So, in leisure time check their site and read his statements.
