..O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

In yesterday's message the title was "Pray for your Enemy", today's focus is Confidence in God When Facing Trouble and the question can be asked how the two messages are related? They are related because when you pray for your enemy and treat them good in spite of being mistreated you that is heaping coals of fire on their heads. Another thought is that when you pray the prayer must: (a) believe in God for He hears and answers prayers, (b) have confidence in our prayers, (c) God will never forsake His own. We as children of God are under His protective care (Psalm 91). This gives all believers to have confidence when facing trouble and or the enemy.

God is true to His word because: (a) He asks us to cast all our cares upon Him (1 Peter 5:7). God would not make such a request if He wasn't going to keep His promise. God is a promise-keeping God, and have kept every promise He made. (b) God promises to supply all our needs (Philippians 4:19), and the need for protection from the enemy/trouble is a promise that we can take confidence in knowing that God is beside us in the presence of His Spirit-the Holy Spirit.

God has proven Himself to be a trustworthy God; take confidence in that fact alone.
