Colossians 2:16-17 . . .Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.
HAVE A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!
******* Carol of The Bells *********
Hark how the bells, sweet silver bells,
All seem to say, throw cares away,
Christmas is here, bringing good cheer,
To young and old, meek and the bold
Ding, Dong, Ding, Dong
That is your song with joyful ring,
One seems to hear, words of good cheer
From ev'rywhere, filling the air
Oh how they pound, raising the sound
O'er hill and dale, telling their tale,
Gaily they ring, while people sing,
Songs of good cheer, Christmas is here,
Colossians 2:16-17 . . .Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ
yes, this is the right verse very in season, but christ-mass is a shadow of what to come ((((Zelch)))) but on the other hand the feast of the lord remain a shadow of the the kingdom to come . (((((Jeremiah 5:3))))
Jeremiah 10:2-8Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might. Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise men of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, there is none like unto thee. But they are altogether brutish and foolish: the stock is a doctrine of vanities.
observing these holidays is worshiping other gods! Xmas, New years, Easter - all pagan gods. but i think we have been over this b4. these pagan holidays dont spoil my day anymore than the Lords Feast days interrupt you doing what you do.
Christmas = pagan holiday Yule - Winter Solstice - Saturnalia...God of Saturn (yule tide greetings)
New Years = god of new beginnings, Janus - hence January
Easter = pagan holiday Spring equinox...goddess of Fertility Ostara/horned god Herme/Hearne (eggs/rabbits)
