Though I would like to be done, the Lord led me to realize that in previous garden discussions I neglected to make reference to Genesis 3:14 which states:

“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.”

The question is, when God says, “Because thou hast done this,” what specifically is he referring to? The preceding verse (Genesis 3:13) says:

“And the LORD God said unto the woman, what is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.”

It is my assertion that God validates the truth of the female’s confession in Genesis 3:13 (and therefore true initial lack of intent to sin in Genesis 3:1-6) by saying to the serpent, “Because thou hast done this” in Genesis 3:14. That is, God proves to believe the female was tricked into this sin just as she confessed (and was subsequently proven honored in alignment with the will of God in Genesis 3:20).

But what do you think? Did the female speak the truth in Genesis 3:13 and God believed her? Or did she lie in Genesis 3:13 and make God into a fool because he proves to believe her by cursing the serpent in the very next verse saying “Because thou hast done this” (and even allowing her the honor to be called “Eve” (life-giver) and “mother of all living” in Genesis 3:20)? Or if you don’t believe God was speaking in Genesis 3:14 about the confession of the female in Genesis 3:13, what then in reference to the serpent was he speaking about saying, “Because thou hast done this?” What specifically did the serpent otherwise do?

Keep in mind Genesis 3:15 when God says:

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

Genesis 3:14 and 3:15 are written as one sentence (one complete thought/action of God) separated only by a colon (and even positioned as a direct response of God to the words of the female in Genesis 3:13). So we know whatever was the justification of God (a justification determined by the free-will and dominion of humans causing God to either destroy, save, punish, or honor) to punish the serpent in Genesis 3:14, and to even make a difference between his “seed” and her “seed” in Genesis 3:15, had nothing directly to do with Adam. In action, this is solely between the serpent and the female, otherwise Genesis 3:15 would have been inclusive of Adam yet it is not (though we know both sinned).

What do you think?

Shalom Sister Dawn,

I have read the discussion. The Scriptures clearly states that Yahweh (God) said:

Genesis 3:14 And יהוה Elohim said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,

'This' relates back to what the serpent did to Havvah (Eve is a translation of her actual name), he deceived her. When he deceived her she took part in the act and then turned and her husband Adam took part in the act also.

In reference to "The Seed':
Genesis 3:15 “And I put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed1. He (Messiah) shall crush your head,(the serpents head) and you shall crush His heel.” This is the first promise of the Messiah. So in all actuality the 'her Seed' had everything to do with Adam because they went on after being dispelled from the garden to have more children, and they had Seth and he is the lineage that Yahshuah came through. If you begin in Genesis 5 and continue through the lineage of Seth through Chapter 10 it reveals that Seth was the patriarch of the lineage of Abraham and then Isaac, and Jacob and finally the Tweleve sons of Jacob of which Judah was born and that is the lineage stated in Matthew 1 that Messiah Yahshuah came from. Since Havah was taken from Adam her husband they would have the same lineage.

Genesis 4:25 And Aḏam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Shĕth, “For Elohim has appointed me another seed instead of Heḇel, because Qayin had slain him.”

So, to sum it all up Havvah's Seed would be the seed of Adam and Genesis 3:15 was inclusive of him being the husband.

Blessings and Shalom!
Shalom Sister Byers,

Thank you for this post! Now I understand how Adam is included in Genesis 3:15 regarding the "seed" of Eve. My stance has been that it was a seed speaking to the spiritual, but what you say makes more sense because it speaks to God's will for the two as man and wife. I find what you said about Genesis 3:14 critical as well' "This' relates back to what the serpent did to Havvah (Eve is a translation of her actual name), he deceived her. When he deceived her she took part in the act and then turned and her husband Adam took part in the act also."

If we can acknowledge the truth of that then I can see how God is still righteous in the garden. In my opinion, without this, we just have God continuing life in the earth based upon nothing but continued evil acts of the humans, and it gives us no explanation of why the meaning of the name of the female is "life-giver" and as a childless virgin she is called "mother of all living." You have been a tremendous blessing to me on this day. Thank you dear Sister.
Praise Father for His Understanding through Messiah Yahshauh!

Thank you Sister for asking this question...I am so ashamed of the brothern not even attempting to answer your question or dialogue...this is what is wrong...when people ask questions, we as the teachers of Yahweh's people are supposed to have the love and grace (since you'll like using that word) to humble yourselves enough to answer, but what happens you get emotional...then nothing gets done.

Respectfully my Brother Preachers....we are the servants and it is our place to answer questions no matter how stupid we think they are...because if one is asking you better believe that 15 more are asking that same question.

This is why I love the Truth of the Torah through Messiah Yahshuah, because we don't have to know it all, but just explain what we do know...it would have been better for my Brothers to just say, "Sister I don't understand what you are asking or I don't know that answer to your question"

Blessings and Shalom!
Sister Byers,

My point in doing this quite frankly is because I love God, and because I love God I need the word of God to speak a truth without contradiction. I can accept that there are mysteries to God, things that we just won't know and are incapable of understanding, but don't preach two different things as though it is one and then expect me to agree. If all God wants me to do is fear him as tyrant than we are speaking of a different matter, but I don't believe that is true of the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob and even the God who won Redemption thru the Shed Blood of Jesus on the Cross. God did not give Adam unchecked authority and he does not give men of the tradition unchecked authority.

I simply want to worship in spirit and in truth, and I thank you again for speaking light into this post.
Yes Rabbi, how true. Dawn literally had to shut down another post regarding the 'rib' because she was attacked and accused of being everything from a 'manhater' to something like 'roaming in a daisy field' or sumptin' for just bringing up the subject matter.

I, was flabbergasted at such ungodly conduct. See how much more all are enriched with truth now that there is 'conversation' about the wonderful subject matter that I, too, was curious about. Rather than judgment there is edification and moreso, Yahshua has vindicated both Dawn and myself. Praise our Heavenly Father.

Rabbi, do continue to enlighten us.
Yes Dawn, isn't she wonderful? You should read some of her posts on a variety of Biblical truths. They will astound you. If you get a chance, go on the 'ONE STEP MINISTRY' discussion board where she has posted spiritual wealth that has literally changed my life. I'm talking total enlightenment. I want to convert to her version of a Hebraic Israelite. :-)
Sister Elaine,

Again, as I have told you before, thank you for this and for taking the time to post as you do. I will check out the ONE STEP MINISTRY discussion board.
Oh Praise our Heavenly Father, Rabbi AviYah showed up and that, with a bang. Wow, so that's how Adam fits in. It does make sense. That's good insight. It seems Adam was redeemed and Seth and the lineage is proof of that.

However, he was also rebuked wasn't he? Since Yahshua will always be the 'Second Adam' but there will never be a 'Second woman?'

Hey, I delightfully, and with patience since I'm coming on later than usual, await your reply.
Shalom My Sisters!

Praise Yahweh for Being Who He is and not only what we say He is....

1 Corinthians 15:45 states, "The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." So yes Yahshuah is the Last Adam and if you think about it there was no need for a 'last woman' because man was redeemed because woman was able to give birth and continue the lineage of man in the earth. Woman was given to man to sustain the earth with Father's righteous seed, if man had not been given woman then man would have ceased after the fall, because Father said the day that man (referring to Adam and Havvah as man) "sins you will surely die"...Genesis 2:17? The Most High Yahweh gave man an out when He built woman and I use the word built because the word that is used in the Torah represents that as being buit for what, for a specific purpose....So woman was a form of 'grace' given to man so that man could continue to live and not perish completely from the earth. The Hebrew word that is used in reference to the making of Havvah is 'banah' it means to be built or to establish or cause to continue, so Havvah was Adams gift for his seed to be establish continually in the earth, HalleluYah!

So I think the bottom line is that we have many references of woman being a 'good thing'. All through the Sriptures we see righteous women being obedient to Yahweh (even unrighteous, rmember Rahab, but her entire household was saved because of her obedience). Yes, the sin came through Havvah but all mankind falls everyday outside of the Most High's Will. So who can point the finger. I just Praise Father Yah for His Faithfulness in granting us time to 'get it right' That's my objective that I may stand before the Father and He say, 'Well done, good and faithful servant" and not "depart from me you worker of lawlessness" that is what iniquity is lawlessness.

I am a seeker of truth and that is why I don't sweat the harder questions, because Rabbi (I am speaking of him as being a teacher) James said in James 1:5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohim, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it shall be given to him. So Father Yahweh will send someone to answer anf give you the deeper places in Him...it's not that I know so mouch, but I do ask Father to help me help His people in what ever capacity that He deems fit. I surely don't know everything, but I count Yah Faithful that if I ask He will enlighten me and if someone asks me, then He surely can do the same...I give all Praises to The Almighty because I have no Knowledge and Wisdom of myyself, but it's Father Who gives to seeking hearts that are broken and crushed before Him, then and only then will He bring revelation to 'rightly' divide the Word of Truth.

This is what I love about the Hebrew lifestyle....no question is dumb or stupid, why? Because we as teachers should have The Discerning Spirit to know if the person is asking to make argument or is truly wanting to know. And you know our studies are very powerful and passionate, we sometimes do raise our voices, but as Messiah Yahshuah, get angry but sin not....where does the sin come in? When you begin to hate your Brother/Sister and start to defame their character and this is called in Hebrew Lashan Harah - the 'evil tongue', and for that Miriyam was struct with leprosy....At all costs let's love each other, even when we don't agree, let's love and then Father will turn on the lamp of Truth and who ever is wrong will be enlightened...remember all we are called to do is to be 'sowers' Father gives the increase.

Shalom Shalom!
Ah, HalleluYAH, oh this is so powerful Rabbi Aviyah Byers, where do I begin? The leprosy Miryam...wow...great, just great! Hadn't thought of that nourishment. Thanks.

Bottom line, we as blacks have the SAME Holy Spirit in us as others and therefore are intelligently capable of allowing the Spirit of TRUTH to DISCUSS the in-depth meaning of any given word of the Most High. It is the Lord's doing and as Yahshua would say, 'it is marvelous in my eyes!'

Young people looking in who may have questions, especially young girls, can see the TRUTH being discussed and become enlightened. Whereas, many, and as Dawn alluded to in a former comment, MANY WOMEN do question certain oppressive, seeming UNGODLY passages that has been passed off throughout the ages as the will of the Most High Heavenly Father.

As I have said, time and again, in these last days, 'truth crushed to the ground is rising again' let's LET IT! Including, TRUTH about Yahweh's will for women. If we embrace this truth we will be embracing a church 'without spot or wrinkle' which Scripture tells us is one of the last signs of the soon coming appearance of Yahshua (Eph. 5:27; Rev. 21:2,9). Such spiritual 'meat' is worth digesting for it sets the captive free.

Now, do understand, I too, was enlightened to be blessed by the Ruach Hakodash/Holy Spirit with regard to the 'woman's true role' and it's significance.

Do understand, the Holy Spirit didn't teach me in the ultimate, eloquent, Hebraic way in which Rabbi Aviyah Byers understands and can lay it out.

Niether did He teach me in the enlightening, inquisitive references that Dawn brought up worth discussing. Rather, decades ago, I began to write and as Scripture proclaimed, 'out of my belly flowed rivers of living waters' with regard to the true role of women.

I didn't even know I would go there. Rather, the Holy Spirit led me there and decades later, He has now led me to women out of all walks of life, I might add, who are speaking the same truths. If that wasn't glorious enough, the ultimate place among my own, this BPN board is where the Holy Spirit made my ultimate resting stop and to my delight, out pops women of the Most High, VERIFYING the same truth that sometimes, I wondered, not doubted, but wondered if I were right to write about.

Scripture speaks the ultimate bottom line, 'Let God Be True And All MEN who speak otherwise LIARS AND DECEIVERS' of whom the truth abideth not in. At least, with regard to these imperative issues.

Don't believe me? Go look up the GODLY works of HARRIET AND SOJOURNER TRUTH who both testifed that the SPIRIT OF GOD/YAH or whatever one calls Him, came upon THEM and caused them to do the exploits they did do.

Ultimate bottom line, "ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS!"

Or, as Scripture put it, 'the letter killeth. the Spirit giveth LIFE' to the true meaning of the Words of the Most High.

Let all, go forth and heed this ultimate TRUTH!
Brother Morton,

Do any of us have an excuse to sin? My issue with the garden details is that according to the tradition, it does not line up as truth within the reality of our studies and walk as Christians. Tradition teaches me that a man and a woman fell down in the garden, the man launched accusation only and although (as I can clearly read for myself) the woman spoke truth (accepted, even (as I say) honored by God in her name and title both speaking to life) yet the man is promoted in the Church and the character of the female, although honored by God due to what I call a confession, is desecrated. (Let me say, I believe that both man and woman were created as equals and that neither should be promoted according to gender in any way, one over the other).

My point in asking if any of us have an escuse to sin, is to point us to confession. For God to have honored this female (in comparison to what an Adam received) in any way tells us, I think, that God was making a difference between the two. Well why did He do it if not because of Genesis 3:13 which equated to confession by the female, clear evidence of His Righteousness in the earth?

Otherwise it seems to me we say, in the aftermath of the fall and in absence of confession, God allowed for the increase of evil through childbirth in the earth. Childbirth in this instance would speak favorably to the physical only, but what about the spiritual (especially in the absence of confession) speaks to the glory of God? If we say it was all a work of His Grace then why are any of us then required to make confession of sin, and to what point is this word in our lives? It doesn't then relate to me. And again, why would Eve have received a favorable name and title (as "mother of all living") that Adam did not? They both fell, so how is it that Genensis 3:13 isn't what made the difference?

I believe that Genesis 3:16 is misinterpreted by the tradition. An honored and confessed Eve suffered consequences due to sin, but only Adam was punished because what he said before God was found unacceptable. We can debate the reasons all day, but I think word at least makes that much very clear. If she did not rightly confess, then Eve too should have a name speaking to shame and certainly not a title (as I call it) speaking to life. Physically speaking, Adam too was "father of all living," so if the title given to a virgin Eve as "mother of all living" spoke to the physical, where was his?

Peace and love to you.
@ Sister Dawn 1 Timothy 2:7-15 Whereunto I am ordained a preacher, and an apostle, (I speak the truth in Christ, and lie not;) a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and verity. I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting. In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

This is to settle your issue with Eve.
