Many churches with Black pators are opening their doors to Lewis Farrakahn who claims that he is a christian, and muslim.
What are your thoughts on this and also some of the teachings of the NOI that are not in line with scripture.

Have many pastors become so black centric that they have left the true foundation that Jesus IS THe ONLY WAY .

A packed house welcomed Minister Louis Farrakhan to St. Sabina Catholic Church on Friday night with a standing ovation and cheers for his health.

The 74-year-old provocative Nation of Islam leader, who has endured a series of health setbacks, didn’t speak from the Quran but from the Bible.

“Even though I am a Muslim — I don’t apologize for that — I’m also a Christian,” he told the crowd at 1210 W. 78th Pl. “Islam considers the Bible a sacred book.”

“A good Muslim is a Christian, and a good Christian is a Muslim,” he added later, stressing the common aspects of the faiths. “Whenever Christ’s name is mentioned, I feel at home.”

"The black church especially is guilty of always receiving but never giving anything,"

Mr. Demings, these are your exact words. You didn't say "some" black churches, you said "the" black church which would indicate you are referring to the black church as a whole. If that was not your intent, then you should have said so in the beginning.

Lol so I guess now you want to become one of my BPN enemies as well!!!

I don't ask nor do I desire to become anyone's enemy. This would be the individual's choosing. So, if you consider me to be your enemy, then "oh well."

Shalom in Christ
WOW! @ letsboogie. Did you read the title of the post Is THe Nation Of ISlam A Cristian Organization? That was the topic of discussion. After reading all of the replies I see where no one
attacked Farrakhan, and if someone did thats their position.

Now I don't know what kind of ministry you fellowship with on a regular basis, but if you have been supporting a ministry that has done those things you have mentioned then why not leave?

Now I have run into many people with the same thinking when it comes to Farrakhan. We are discussing the doctrine of the NOI, and how it differs from Christianity.

You attacked black churches as if none of them are doing kingdom business . This assumption is a falsehood. There are hundreds of black congregations that are doing the work of the ministry.
First of all show me in the word where the church is commanded to take care of sinners with social programs, or food give aways, or homeless shelters.
Now I am not saying that we shouldn't care, or do this but show me where it is commanded by God for us to do it. Even show me an example of it in the new testament.
By the way what type of outreach are you personally doing to help the poor, the needy, the homeless shelters or the orphans?

WHo are we judging as stated from your reply.
Have I judged farrakhan? NO I examined what he has taught, and how different it is from what the bible says. When you examine his doctrine people who are mesmerized by him always scream that your judging him, and then they point out "what preachers are doing" HMMMMMM
I can care less about his social standpoint, I find that Jesus had a much better social standpoint than anyone. When believers can get so upset about a discussion on farrakhans doctrine, and how it differs from the bible worries me. This lets me know that their should be an awakening among black churches to the danger of Christians being swept into farrakhanism.

Amen Bro. Bass

It is an aged old trick of Satan to imitate Christianity.

2 Corinthians 11:14-15
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
First, if you can read my brother my name is either Lester, Les, or LesBoogie.
Next, the bible CLEARLY on many occasions have told us to take care of the poor and in some cases the judgment WE will receive if we do not care for them.

Leviticus 23:22, "And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I [am] the LORD your God."

Deuteronomy 15:9, "Beware that there be not a thought in thy wicked heart, saying, The seventh year, the year of release, is at hand; and thine eye be evil against thy poor brother, and thou givest him nought; and he cry unto the LORD against thee, and it be sin unto thee."

Deuteronomy 15:11, "For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land."

Psalms12:5, "For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set [him] in safety [from him that] puffeth at him."

Psalms 82:3, "Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy."

Proverbs 14:31, "He that oppresseth the poor reproacheth his Maker: but he that honoureth him hath mercy on the poor."

Isaiah 58:7, "[Is it] not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?"

Zechariah 7:10, "And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart."

Matthew 19:21, "Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me."

These are just a few of the over 170 verses in the Bible that deal with the poor and helping the poor. I also didn't see a stipulation in ANY of these scriptures where they had to be saved so I assume you are a student of the Elitist Doctrine?
Now you want to know what I've done?
Let's see I've fed those who are hungry, gave clothing away, gave so much money away at times until I didn't have enough lol but God ALWAYS made a way, I've even allowed people to stay in my home so see, I can only speak about what I know about and I did all this with no title, no church money, and no church backing. I don't need to get up and boast about what I do because my life shows that I've done what I should do to help others- saved or unsaved. I guess because of all I've been through it has offered me the opportunity to KNOW what grace and mercy truly is and it had nothing to do with judgment. I've read your profile my brother and I see that you've lived that "perfect" consecrated life so you don't know what it is to have mud underneath your fingernails trying to crawl out of a pit. Church folk like you are a hinderance and a danger to Christianity.
You are "examining" (judging) Farrakhan but let me ask you, can you provide scripture to me that tells us to judge those OUTSIDE of the church? Now, I DO know scriptures that tells us that we are to "examine" (judge however righteously) those in the church who are spreading their elitist doctrines of judgment, oh excuse me, "examination."
Next, I have been born into the church and know NOTHING but the church so the NOI has NO effect on me my brother. There is NO god like the true and living God I serve so why would I be foolish enough to turn my back on God? Even in judgment in His wrath God is more fair and loving than any other god will ever be. So, don't worry about me "loving" Farrakhan to the point of turning my back on God- it won't ever happen.
Lastly, why is it when someone likes myself offers a different point of view we are accused of being angry or going against the Word of God? How am I angry because I am going against elitism and unfair judgment and speaking what the Word says to speak. I suggest you check your own salvation because my salvation is in check. I know God has done a complete work in me so I am FAR from angry. On the contrary I am excited because it shows me I am speaking what should be spoken. I don't worry myself with the world and its agents- we already know where their end is- and that is Word.
We are to worry about the church and those in the church and standing up for righteousness and holiness and togetherness.
I'm not saying that what you are saying about Farrakhan is wrong I'm not ignorant to his past but I do know that his organization is taking our black men DAILY at an alarming rate- some are even leaving the church to join the NOI.
What does that say about the church, the black church especially?
Brother Les,

I understand the fustrations you might have against some churches and some preachers; but I think it is highly unfair for you to condemn all churches and all pastors and all preachers in the same way. and then compare all of them to the few minutes that you hear Min Farrkhan...I would suggest that you have not heard all Preachers; I know because you never heard me...I know you can't be measuring all churches works because you have never measured mine...and in terms of "truth" If you make one statement and in that one statement 9 items are true and one item is a lie than you have changed the nature of that statement from a truth to a lie...I know you don't want to do that...There are thousands of Black Urban Churches that are practicing what they preach and preaching the Truth as it compares to the Gospel of Jesus Christ! I know...I am one of them.

I don't believe that your hands can get as dirty is mine have been but they washed in the blood of the lamb! God Bless you!

Pastor Hodge
Post to me where I stated ALL churches?
I am speaking in general- as I always speak.
And in regards to truth- if what you say is true then we can also say that the church is a LIE for all the "deceptions" it has increased i the last 10 years putting God's name on it and backing it with His Word, right?
So, let's not get into a "truth" battle here.
That is not even the premise of what I was saying.
In all thy getting get an understanding.
I notice that many of you just take the part you don't like, get a bug in your hair and then want to go on attack mode.
If you calm down, look at the overall message I post and then get the message I am trying to convey their won't be so much confusion- on your end (maybe not you exactly) but onn the other end.
I would be a fool to think that NO black churches are doing the work Jesus has told us to do because the church I am a part of here in Newark, NJ and my church home in Rochester, NY BOTH help those in need.
You people honestly seem to think I am some amatuer to the faith lol!!!
I been around long enough to know what I know!!!
Dear Brothers no need for the Church to fight itself over an imposter!

in answer to your question: No! the NOI is not a "Christian" Organization! a Christian Organization is exactly what it says: and organization that is organized around the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ! a Belief that Jesus Christ came in the flesh; dwelt among men, crusified on the cross, burried in a borrowed tomb and rose on the third day; and sits on the right hand of God the Father almighty. The NOI does not believe this! It is based on the teachings of Fuaad Muhammed not to be confused with the teachings of the (prophet mahammad of 600 AD) Min Farrakhan is not a Christian. A Christian is one that is defined by his belief and confession of the above! Since Farrakhan does not confess nor does he believe this to be so; he is not a Christian.

Further: The basis for Islam is that: I bare witness that there is no God but Allah! and that there is none aside him for he needs no help. it is not for God to take onto him sons. The Christian believes that there is One God personified in Jesus (God the Son); ordained by God the Father and manefest himself today in God the Holy Ghost! i.e. the Trinity or the Triune Godhead! it is impossible to reconcile the two beliefs they are in contradiction one to another: The Bible says that you cannot serve two Masters! Min. Farrakhan in his very clever but very old recruiting method seeks to present himself as a Christian while denying the Resurrection of Christ! That is Lie from the devil! Black men leave the church because the church refuses to establish and maintain BOLD CONTRAST between other religions in an effort to not "offend" others! We are offensive to the world! we are supposed to be offensive to the world we are not friends with the world! The Bible says that they that seek freindship with the world is an enemy of God! If the muslims regarded the bible to such a sacred book then follow it! Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Saviour! If he wants to be Christian than Confess that Jesus has come in the flesh and repeat the above! I know what I am talking about because I was born into the NOI and was a faithful member for the first 13 years of my life until I God saved! My Father was a Minister in the NOI and a member for nearly 40 Years before he God Saved! My brothers, couzins and uncles left the Nation and God saved, sanctified and filled with the gift of the Holy Ghost! dont be confused: The NOI is a suido faction of Islam that primarily seeks out the urban african americans; it has nothing to do with Christianity!

Pastor Hodge
"Black men leave the church because the church refuses to establish and maintain BOLD CONTRAST between other religions in an effort to not "offend" others!"

That is NOT true- at all!!!
Black men leave the black church because the black church has changed its focus from serving the Lord and the people to the people serving the leader like he is god. Leaders having grown men running around like little boys, talking to them as they choose and not showing them any type of respect. I'm not telling you what I think I'm telling you what I know. Jesus said a leader comes to serve NOT be served. These leaders teach these women that they don't have a "real man" unless their man is "like them." Black men are tired or being looked at as less than THEN to come in the church and treated in such a way is death to the spirit of a true man.
In the Islamic faith manhood is celebrated in Christianity manhood is looked at as weakness.
Look at how I am spoken about on this site?
I don't have a title in front of my name so when I speak bold, strong and blunt I am accused of being angry and hurt.
However, if I had some bogus title in front of my name I'd be looked at as a true man'd of God!!!
Instead we throw stones at the world and let whatever goes on in the church happen as long as it doesn't bother your home or hurt your pockets!!!
How are you ever going to draw the world to Jesus if you are feeding them a tainted Word with one hand and beating them with the other?
I think we got the salvation message and the rebuke message mixed up.
well lester...........again I don't know what church you fellowship at, Christianity has never made a man weak, or looked on manhood as a weakness. Now if you know churches or pastors that push this agenda then that is them and not the entire body. i have been born again for quite sometime and I have never heard a pastor or been under a pastor that led women to believe that their men had to be like them , or allowed men to be belittled in their ministries.
I believe that Pastor Hodge should have insight that you or I don't have because he came out of the NOI.

I remember you said on a previous post that you could spot certain people because of what God delivered you from. why is it hard to believe that Pastor Hodge cannot do the same because of where God delivered him from.
Why do you think that people are your enemies?
I didn't say he couldn't see he would know more than me but just as he grew up in NOI I grew up in the church (COGIC to be exact) and I know FIRST HAND of what I speak- just as he knows what he speaks.
NOWHERE HAVEI STATED THAT THE WHOLE BODY ACTS ANY CERTAIN WAY- if that were the case wouldn't I be talking bad about myself?
Does anyone around here know what the term "generally speaking" mean?
Just because you haven't seen any of the things I've referenced doesn't mean that I haven't nor does it mean that I've had to endure it- there is a such thing sight. I'm not blind naturally, nor spiritually.
I guess if it doesn't happen to you it doesn't matter?
Which explains alot.
Lastly, I never once said he was my enemy but I guess you say this because I choose to counter what he has said and not agree.
Must I agree with everything that is said to be looked at as just a man with his own mind and opinions?
My God, this is why I am glad I am under the leadership I am under. I don't see how some of you are leaders with the way you accuse me of being negative just because I choose not to bow and agree with everything that is said- I agree with what is said when I feel it lines up with MY opinion and beliefs NOT yours.
However, I already said I would no longer defend my posts- and I won't.
You either agree with my opinion or not- my character should have nothing to do with it.
You keep saying "the black church;" if you are speaking in general, then why not say "some black churches?"

To say "the" black church is to include all black churches. The term "some" black churches would be a general statement because you are not speaking of the black church as a whole.
