Wouldnt it be really neat if the President WAS a Pastor and considered his position like that of a Pastor???

I think of Martin Luther King, Jr. He "pastored" from the pulpit and "pastored" in the street so much that a civil rights movement swept the nation and the world.

I was watching a movie called the Changeling. In it, St. Paul Presbyterian Church Pastor Gustav Briegleb, daily broadcasts protests exposing the corruption of the police force. Like Martin Luther King, he affected politics by preaching not just from the convines of the pine wood but from the streets, on the radio, wherever he could. But that is not what impressed me about this man.

He was FORCEFUL with his message of peace. He pastored the woman who was being wronged by supporting her and getting her out of an insane asylum by putting constant media and legal pressure on those in office who were corrupt. Now imagine if a President had the heart of a Pastor! Imagine if a "king" worshipped the Lord God, creator of heaven and earth and led THIS nation as a pastor would lead his flock.

I guess that is just wishful thinking. Hope differed.....the heart of THIS nation is sick indeed.
Once upon a time, the politician WAS A PASTOR!! Once upon a time, the President was supposed to have the morals of a PASTOR!

Too bad we don't have anyone that fits that bill anymore, right?

(That is, if you ignore Mike Huckabee!!!)
Now IMAGINE if we showed these kinds of videos in Sunday School or bible study!!!!

But for some, this kind of teaching has no place in the church... can you believe that???!!!

We leave the details of morality to the schools and to the parents... when those are also ones who need the teaching more than the children!
I remember when I was in elementary, I was shown a video on drug use. It was VERY GRAPHIC and showed people vomitting and passing out in their own vomit and needles being left in their arms after passing out. And it showed the progression from gateway drugs to the more hard core stuff.

I remember shows like "Scared Straight" where they would put teens in the same room as convicts who were still in prison and those convicts would literally scare some of those teens so much that they didnt want to do ANYTHING that would result in going to prison.

I'm intimidated by very little.. even as a child and youth not much would intimidate me but there were certain things that I did not want to experiences.

AND BELIEVE ME.. If I had seen some of these videos on abortion, I would never have endulged in anything that would have gotten me pregnant. To me it would not have been worth it. Just as drugs to me is just not worth the temporary high.

We don't tell our kids how sex feels.. that it is a temporary high like eating a meal and then you get hungry again the next day... one meal doesn't satisfy a person. (I'm not even talking about a sex addiction, I'm talking about the normal libido. We tell them DONT do it but dont really tell them any other details.

I'm saying this because my princess is now in middle school (6th grad) and there is still MORE that I need to talk to her about... ther's the issue of Gender Identity, the attraction to boys, etc. On the House of Payne, Tyler Perry had an episode where the young boy was maturbating in the shower and the men knew what was going on but laughed at him instead of really talking to him. Kids touch themselves... out of curiosity and then....pleasure. But these things are TABOO to talk about... causing the kid to just FIGURE IT OUT ON THEIR OWN!!!!!
The fact of the matter is God is not going to ask us who we voted for or why we voted for them HOWEVER God is going to ask us and judge us by what WE did as an aswer to what was done.
Obama can do all he wants to BUT when it all boils down to it- do you know your Word?
Do you know right from wrong?
God is not going to judge you based on what Obama did.
He is going to judge you based on what YOU did.
So they can make all types of laws they want WE must do what the WORD says do and if that means we get talked about- so be it.
If we get arrested- so be it.
I am tired of complaining, fussin', whiney church folk.
Where are the SOLDIERS that Paul talked about???
God is looking for soldiers- not wimps.
Pick up your weapons and fight- and this internet is not the place to get it krunk lol!!!
Believe that.

I think you know what I do bruh'...:) But if you know your word you would do the Word and not just be readers of your word...Don't deceive yourself....
You're right, but one thing that GOD will judge you on also is what covenants you made. To vote for a person and support a person who is totally against the Word of GOD is to be in covenant with them.
Abortion has been around for many years. Yet, I don't recall hearing or reading about protesting at the level it is now against the other presidents that held office during those years that continued to allow abortion to remain legal. Was it OK then but not OK now? I'm not saying that the Pro-Life Advocates didn't protest ever, because I do recall the burning and bombing of abortion clinics. I just don't recall the protesters attacking the Presidents from the time they were sworn into office and continued throughout their years in office. From the looks of things now with Obama, it doesn't appear that the Pro-Life Advocates are going to cease their bashing of the President anytime soon or if ever while he is in office. I don't think the Obama supporters who voted him in office did so with the explicit purpose of Pro-Choice. I have to think that many of them were not in agreement with Pro-Choice, but voted for him anyway for other issues that was on his political agenda. This abortion issue seems to be the PRIMARY reason for bashing Obama.

There are still, thousands of unemployed individuals in this country with many of them loosing their cars and homes; and with some dealing with health issues and no insurance. WHAT ABOUT THESE ISSUES? Is there no concern about these people?

I'm all for saving a life. Therefore, while abortion remains legal, I will continue to pray without ceasing for the changing of the hearts and minds of the women and girls who are considering abortion to seek an alternative to their problem.
I have studied and spoken up on issues other than abortion. I do not support Barak Obama for more than one reason. It just so happens that abortion is one of the issues, and abortion is the particular subject here. If one would open up an economic topic, then I would QUICKLY respond to it. In fact, I have mentioned my political and economic views on BPN before without hesitation. Yet again, abortion is the particular subject here. I never have compromised for pro-choice, and I never will. Its not my style to compromise in that particular area. As a Christian, that is one of my main focuses when a President is being elected. I'm a Kingdom-minded New Yorker, and therefore I can make my own money, so economics will never stand up as being just as important.

As for health-care, abortion just so happens to be a form of health-care. Health-care MUST start with abortion, because abortion deals with the very life of future patients. This is a truth that cannot be ignored. Abortion is not the primary reason why Obama is attacked, it is just one a few of the major issues that people use. I can easily mention how his Homeland Security team has now literally labeled Bible-Prophecy-believing-Christians and War Veterans as potential homeland terrorists. Has any of the Obama supporters paid attention to that bit of info?
I was one who voted for Obama (of which now I repent) because I see his policies, including abortion, have went far left than what he originally stated when he was running.
