The word pastor and elder in Greek are the very same word. So the qualifications are found in the Pastoral Epistles (1&2 Timothy, Titus)

You're right, of course, Elder Denny. Maybe Pastor Sweet meant to say that in the New Testament the words for "pastor" and "elder" seem to be equated. Peter addresses "elders" directly in his epistle (1 Pet. 5:1), and then remarks that they should be motivated by the knowledge that the chief shepherd [archipoimēn] will reward them (1 Pet. 5:4). This at least implies that elders [presbyteros] are also shepherds or pastors [poimen]; the under-shepherds working under the authority of that afforementioned chief Shepherd.

Brother Gill you are right.  Sorry brothers for the error!

I did not take it that way, thank you for your willingness to correct me with knidness. What i should have written is that the words pastor/elder use by Paul to talk about the same position. A Pastor is an Elder and an Elder is a pastor although they (the Elder) may not be the Lead Pastor/Elder.
