Sex ( Why are Christians afraid to have honest discussions about it?)

Sex, historically has been a bad word in the body of Christ, I mean from the stand point of having real, honest and open conversation about it from a biblical, emotional, sensual and natural point of view. However, christians, including pastors seemingly have more problems with sex than those who practice sin as a lifestyle. We who are called to uphold a standard for the world have just as many if not more problems around sexual issues than the world.

We MUST have deeper, wiser and more real discussion, teaching and preaching concerning this issue so that people will be well informed so that each of us can make decisions that help us to marry partners that have the same sexual desires, appetite and inclination as long as they remain within a frame that God can honor. God does not want us to have frigid sexual relationships with a spouse but He also doesn't want an anything goes sexual relationships. He wants us to have balance yet more freedoms than the church has been willing to discuss. Hopefully this will decrease the number of divorces in the church.

What you say is true sister. This is why I think we need those old Mother Gordon's & Mother Williams to talk to the young women and teach them how to keep it tight and keep it right with God. These were mothers in my Church when I grew up and they didn't play. They made sure, we as young women, understood what a holy bed was. They also answered any question thrown at them truthfully and from a Godly perspective. Some sisters asked about romancing with wine while others took it a little deeper. None the less, our church mothers handled their business and didn't leave us to guess. We need more of this. More teaching means less lewdness.
This is hilarious! but ones do not need to be timid about talking about sex.
First of all Lady Tarmeque thankyou for not making me feel like a sex hungry Preacher

It won't kill him brother. I say go for it. I talked to my girls when they were 9 and my husband talked to my oldest son at that age as well. When I hear my son speak of children the word wife is always present. He knows how important it is. I know your son will get it. :)

go head REV LUCKETT ( IF ITS A GRIFT FROM GOD WHY SHOULD WE BE AFRIAD TO TALK ABOUT ) GOOD POST AND GOOD JOB ELDER ERIC
It's funny how you told your daughter the things boys will say. I told my oldest the same things and 2 twins at one of the churches we use to fellowship with liked her. One told her, "I love you. and to my surprise, mommies teaching kicked in. My daughter told him, you don't love me because you hardly even know me.

I am glad she didn't go all gooey on me, declaring his undying love for her and hers for him. Thank you Jesus.
rev. say no more (LOL)
Plain and simple sex was meant to be a pleasurable experience in marriage. It's not only meant for reproduction but also as a means of sharing one's self with your mate/spouse. Society and the media has turned sex into such an UGLY issue. God meant for us to have sex, but not to the extent of sin. Where the problem is, as EW Ministries said, there is NO TEACHING. We no longer teach our children to separate sin from sex. What do I mean? Fornication. They hear the word, but don't know the true meaning. Adultery. Some GROWN folks still don't know what that is! I could go on and on, but I won't. Within our Youth Department, we have a class with our teens. Not to promote "safe sex" like most places and hand out condoms, but to inform our Youth on how GOD views them being sexually active in the first place. The Biblical dangers of premarital sex as well as the health and pregnancy risks. I thank God I had a Bible believing, teaching and living Mother and the Mothers of the church. To be honest, I was SCARED TO DEATH to have sex before marriage. It was the FEAR OF GOD! Even with both parents being Ministers who lived by the word, I was tempted and lost my virginity before marriage. The day it happened, as SOON as I laid eyes on my Mother, she knew. Not only that, I cried like a newborn baby, apologizing to my Mother, crying out and repenting to God. I felt like I was going STRAIGHT to HELL..THAT DAY!!! LOL!!! In today's society amongst young folks sex and homosexuality are "the thing" to do! Sadly.
this is my point,,where was the clergy or Father BEFORE the pregnacy sat in??
we need to talk about it because enquiring minds want to know meaning the child..every touch from a boy to a girl dont mean that it is supposed to be sexually
the frist time a little girl hear a man say I love you is supposed to be from her father
the first kiss her father as well
her first dance her fathers
her first date her fathers
her first hug her father
Now I dont mean none of this PERVERTED Crap..I mean a Father teaching her daughter what to expect..my daughter is 21 and she is quick to tell men ,,YOU CANT GIVE ME NOTHING THAT MY FATHER HAS NOT ALREADY GIVEN ME So with that said she cant pick, choose and refuse who she wants to be with,,because I schooled her at 15 and 18 she was pushing a Range Rover
AMEN THAT IS SO TRUE IF WE DONT TALK THAT FELLOW IN THE STREET WILL (WHY WOULD A CHURCH GIVE OUT CONDOM WHAT ARE THEY DOING PROMOTING SIN) SAFE SEX IS JUST SAY NO UNTIL YOU ARE MARRYED AND THEN ONLY THEN SAY YES ALL THE TIME.LOL
Have any of you guys ever experienced the prescence of the Lord in your bedrooms at your intimate times?
