Good morning to all my friends, family, and yes – ALL THOSE returning to school whatever grade level. Oh yes! "For the word of God is right and all His works are done in truth" (Psalms 33: 4). Parents-our prayer is that you be strong in the Lord like never before. Some parents are struggling with the fact their children have moved on with life, went off to college, job transfers, got married [some probably eloped!]. Then there are some students who may be considering dropping out…middle school, high school, college, etc. Keeping it real here! God placed in my heart this also is a trying time of year for many families. Please allow God to use you to encourage other parents [saved or not] because as the holidays approach; a heavy burdening spirit of depression hits many hearts. We all know that Jesus encouraged us to "rest in Him" and that His "burdens are light". For others who don’t know Christ as you may; they need prayer. Many types of “losses” occurred this year 2012 that parents experienced to see. Varying stages of grief begin to surface. Following up with those you hadn’t seen in church or heard from a while would be an honor before God. Don't just text them or "like" them [on that other site], let them hear your voice. Pastors can’t do everything or be everywhere!

Please remember parents in prayer as you continue in your walk with serving the Lord. Always have at least a word of encouragement [1 Peter 3: 7] to share with the less fortunate (those “least” as Jesus once mentioned). Recently, thousands of families nationwide – even locally here in Dallas, TX were blessed from the “Annual Back to School” drive where many families are blessed with school supplies, food, winter coats, etc. Believe it or not; in many of our churches – mega or small – have believers in our very midst, in our own congregations who are experiencing “spiritual” hardships and crisis (1 Peter 5: 9). Though many families this year were blessed with basic necessities; I personally observed sad faces as if to say, “what next”? Many came to church the day following, got saved, delivered, joined church; but let us PLEASE keep in mind that our brothers and sisters in Christ in our own assemblies need encouragement and moral support. Do your soul a favor – strengthen your brethren, something I am very sure would make any Pastor godly proud…to see members encourage and build one another up. Do enjoy your day [hope everyone had a hearty breakfast!] and regardless of your own situations in life; guess what? It's still "beautiful" and good! (Psalms 33:4, 48: 2). As the Lord always sent His disciples "before His face"; do allow God and trust Him to use you this week and always (Luke 9: 52-56). It’s not that difficult. Traci and I love you!! Can I get some church folk say, "amen" #HeartOfaChaplains’HeartToYou#
