Today we the black community lost another icon, Michael Jackson departed this life. Many of us grew up listening to his music. I grew up not only listening to Michael Jackson, but I aslo dressed and danced like him. I had the penny loafers, high water pants with white socks, the glitter glove and leather zip down jacket. His music and legend would be remembered...
As I was writing this post my sister called me from South Carolina to make sure I was alright... I was a true Michael Jackson fan... I pray we remember him for his music not for the allerged wrong that he did. I'm listening to the news and all they're doing is tearing down his life... this is somebody son, somebody father, somebody brother, somebody family relative, somebody friend... I pray that the news media don't use this as a way to demonize him... (we all have sinned and came short of the glory of God...) His sins aren't no different from ours or those who want to throw rocks at him...
I pray that we preachers get together and pray for his family during this their hour of breavement... Today is their time or mourning... tomorrow may be ours... for there is one step between us and death...
