Pastor Phillips,

If I wasn't clear before, allow me to once again state my position. I believe in the miracles of God. I believe God will use whomever He chooses as His vessel during the manifestation of said miracles.

I am not quick to accept every person (TV Evangelist or otherwise) as the vessel of God to perform miracles of faith healing. I have personally experienced God's miracle of healing through my faith in Him and without the aid of any person having to lay hands on me.

I hope this is clear enough for you and please understand that I am in no manner looking to debate with anyone on this topic.

Greetings Chaplain Harris,

You made yourself clear. I am just asking is Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland and
the other brother on the you tube screen are they fake. I did not look at the whole
video. Just enough to see where it was going.

Just talking.

Pastor Phillip,

I really cannot state with certainty if any of the Evangelists shown on the video are faking or not. I recently ordered this video. From what I gather on the video clip above, is that they were selected as examples of what faith healing services are like. After I review the documentary video in its entirety, I will share what information I have learned.

Shalom in Yeshua
Greetings Chaplain Harris,

OK.

This is an interesting topic. I wish more folks would comment.
Learning is discovering.

SPECIAL NOTE: THE FOLLOWING STATEMENT IS NOT PRESENTED IN AN OFFENSIVE MANNER, BUT TO EXPRESS CLEAR BIBLICAL TRUTH> IF OFFENDED, I APOLOGIZE IN ADVANCE FOR THE DELIVERY OF THE WORDS, BUT NEVER FOR THE MEANING/CONTEXT BEHIND THE WORDS.

The words that you spoke actually contradict everything that was taught by CHRIST JESUS and the Apostles. Signs and wonders never stopped at all. None of the gifts or offices ever stopped in fact. Many may say that the lay dormant, but just because they are not seen by one doesn't mean that they are dormant or don't exist anymore. The "completion of the NT" wasn't even viewed as the completion of scripture by the Apostles and/or Prophets back then for one simply reason: we still are alive and the end has not yet come. Eternity is the completion of all things. The Canon of scriptures were "closed" by men at a time when their "Godly councel" would today be counted as high treason against Heaven itself. Its a funny thing to understand that the Scriptures wer closed in the 1600's, over 1,500 years after CHRIST and the first believers ministered. NOW they decided to close the Canon??? NOW they decided that the Scriptures were complete??? Did you know that when they closed the Canon, they didn't agree on what books to have in the Canon? Martin Luther wanted to excluded James, Hebrews, Jude and Revelation because he felt the contradicted Apostle Paul's words. Completed NT scriptures? Thats a scary doctrine that says "the HOLY SPIRIT zipped His holy lips up for over 2,000 years....." Sounds kinda raw, and offensive to say about GOD? Yes, it is.....if you think that way.

Now, as for the signs and wonders, they are used to confirm the Word of GOD, and the power of GOD spoken of. In this American do-it-yourself society, people act like they don't need GOD's power because they went to Seminary School and "earned their Doctorate in Theology/Divinity/Pastorship/Physiology". Many feel that articulation of speech has replaced demonstration of power. With such a mindset, we have turned the power of GOD into ancient history......or worse, an ancient myth.

Signs and wonders follow those who believe that GOD will actively move within man's life. "I am the LORD, I change not".

Mark 16:15-20 "And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen."

If we doubt that such things are done, then what will we do when our sons or daughters are demon-possessed? Send them to counseling?
Sorry, but one does not "speak for themselves" in this subject. When you speak, you also represent Heaven's policies if a non-believers asks.
Greetings Sis. Evans

Take the Scripture Mark 16: 15-20.

Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and understnding. Dont just stay out of it,
challenge yourself to understand.

Examine the lives of the apostles. It is the Holy Spirit who heals through us.
whether someone lay hands or you simply beleive in your secret place.

I dont claim to be a healer or anything else. I just beleive God.
Do not let people who operate in error stop your growth in God.

Take time out and learn for yourself. I have not read every post here but there
are some men of God who can help you on thhis topic.

Such as Pastor Day, Pastor Greene to name a few.

Be encouraged

There are many people out here claiming to be faith healers and at the same time, bilking people for their money under the false impression that they are supporting their ministry.

I have no doubt that God can and does use individuals as His vessels to perform miracles, but let's face it, He doesn't need anyone to do what only He can do. After all, why would we need faith in God if all we need to do is call on one of His vessels?

Let us not forget also that Satan can imitate the power of the Holy Spirit in many ways. Remember the confrontation Moses had with Pharaoh?

Exodus 7:8-11 . . .And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying, When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent. Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

I am of the belief that signs and wonders are always in our midst if we will just seek God for the manifestation of these miracles. It is unfortunate that too many people expect human vessels to always be the tools or source for the manifestation of God's miracles.

To get a clearer understanding of what this thread is really about, I would suggest that you purchase the book or DVD of the title above. You will be amazed how gullible people can be at the mercy of these fake faith healers.

2 Corinthians 11:14-5 . . .And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
"There are many people out here claiming to be faith healers and at the same time, milking people for their money under the false impression that they are supporting their ministry."

And there are many people that aren't robbing the saints. Do we toss them in the same category?

"I have no doubt that God can and does use individuals as His vessels to perform miracles, but let's face it, He doesn't need anyone to do what only He can do. After all, why would we need faith in God if all we need to do is call on one of His vessels?"

Signs and wonders are for the increase of faith in GOD and the conformation of His word. If one does not get drawn to GOD by it, then two things may have happened: 1) the individual was drawing attention to themselves, or 2) the people who observed are stiff-necked and non-believers.

"Let us not forget also that Satan can imitate the power of the Holy Spirit in many ways. Remember the confrontation Moses had with Pharaoh?"

Remember also that no person ever had a demon cast out of them by the power of Satan, or simply by prayer. Such is a demonstration of one's Kingdom authority granted by GOD the Father & Jesus Christ. I again say if we doubt that such things are done, then what will we do when our sons or daughters are demon-possessed? Send them to counseling? Satan will not do a work to confirm GOD's word, he'll do it to draw attention to himself. Thats the main difference.

"I am of the belief that signs and wonders are always in our midst if we will just seek God for the manifestation of these miracles. It is unfortunate that too many people expect human vessels to always be the tools or source for the manifestation of God's miracles."

The FATHER will call on His servants to do the work. His servants run down the list in this particular order:

- His Son JESUS
- the Holy Spirit
- His angels
- His people

He has the power to do anything Himself, but He has the even greater power to send another to do it in His name. Humans are apart of the work, so to bypass them is actually madness. I know that you didn't bypass them with your words directly Chaplain Harris, but with such a thought, it gives for room for a person to say "I don't need you, I'm just gonna wait on GOD". The response to that thought is this: if you reject/bypass GOD's servants you rejected/bypassed GOD Himself.

"2nd Corinthians 11:14-5 . . .And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works."

Mark 16:15-20 ....And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. Amen.

1st Corinthians 12:1-17....Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
"There are many people out here claiming to be faith healers and at the same time, milking people for their money under the false impression that they are supporting their ministry."

And there are many people that aren't robbing the saints. Do we toss them in the same category?

I try to be very careful how I select my words. My statement above said, "There are many people..." I did not say "all" people. So, that should answer your question about who gets tossed into the same category.

Rather than debate word for word or statement for statement, I will say this in summary, there are false faith healers just like there are false prophets.

Matthew 24:5 . . .For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

Matthew 24:11-12 . . .And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.

It will be wise for all of God's children to operate in the gift of discernment.
The only reason why I sad what I said is because Cessationists use those very words that you do in order to help easily usher in discrediting comments against the gifts of the Spirit and the Apostolic & Prophetic offices. They say things like "if they are happening, I sure don't see it", therefore challenging the very notion of miraculous events today. This thought eventually brings us right back to square one.

"It will be wise for all of God's children to operate in the gift of discernment."

You sealed the deal with that statement! LOL!!!
