Debate: a contention by words or arguments.

Contention: : a point advanced or maintained in a debate or argument

It is one thing for us to talk amongst each other or converse about different subjects, but I have seen more venom flying on this and other Christian networks than should be allowed. I know that we may not agree on all issues but the sin happens when we enter into debate and this displeases the Lord. In the scripture, debating is right next to MURDER. We must all repent, those of us who have participated in this DEBATING fashion. As shown in the scriptures below, debating is an unrighteous deed. Be ye angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your wrath.

Romans 1:29
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

2 Corinthians 12:20
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

Even though we may not know each other personally, I love all of you dearly and ask for forgiveness for entering into debate with anyone. Hopefully you will do the same and we can all speak according to the spirit when disagreements arise. (LET’S TONE IT DOWN A BIT, AND NOT GET SO PERSONAL ON THES ISSUES)

May God Bless you all.

Brother Watson,

I think I found a passage that says Posting is a sin. It can be found in the following passage:

EW 32:19

Thou shalt not post on BPN or any other network our though shalt be sent to the island of perpetual tickling. (Veggie Tales Version)

I am glad to see you all are having fun with this....LOL.... I believe laughter is good for us.
Oh I read that book before. In later passages it says (and I quote):

"And lo, Trevor the Seer girded up his loins and didst ride the MTA into New York City a Sabbath Day's journey. And it came to pass, that he met with Anthony Watson, the Baptist. He was a devout man of valour, full of the Holy Ghost, baptizing in the wilderness screaming 'repent, and be taught in Seminary, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!'."

OK then Bro Watson, so then its back to the battle as usual for us two!

*slowly reaches for his Sword*
You're alright brother Trevor.
Evangelist Fugett, you good with me. Newview, you good with me. Bro Watson, you're good with me. Ms Johnson, you're good with me.

Hey, I didnt even know you responded...
I forgive you Bro Trevor for hurting me ever so deeply. It will be difficult but such are the burdens I am to bare in this mean cruel world. :-)

You guys got me banging my head. LOL
I think what my wife is articulating here is that this discussion is about not debating, but about having friendly discussions. You get it?
The author is trying to say that there is nothing wrong with having a discussion, but debating is arguing to prove ones point. Whether the word is debate, strife or any other synonym it is not good, and the scriptures tells us don't do it. Peaceful discussion and debating are two different things. This discussion is not about discussions, but about debating, arguing, and contentions. I don't understand how anyone can get this mixed up.

Repeat this after me: This is the song that never ends its just goes on and on my friend, some people started singing it not knowing what it was, and they'll just keep on singing it forever just because.....then repeat it again. LOL
Amen Sweetheart.
Awww thats so cute. ;-)
