Debate: a contention by words or arguments.

Contention: : a point advanced or maintained in a debate or argument

It is one thing for us to talk amongst each other or converse about different subjects, but I have seen more venom flying on this and other Christian networks than should be allowed. I know that we may not agree on all issues but the sin happens when we enter into debate and this displeases the Lord. In the scripture, debating is right next to MURDER. We must all repent, those of us who have participated in this DEBATING fashion. As shown in the scriptures below, debating is an unrighteous deed. Be ye angry and sin not. Let not the sun go down on your wrath.

Romans 1:29
Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

2 Corinthians 12:20
For I fear, lest, when I come, I shall not find you such as I would, and that I shall be found unto you such as ye would not: lest there be debates, envyings, wraths, strifes, backbitings, whisperings, swellings, tumults:

Even though we may not know each other personally, I love all of you dearly and ask for forgiveness for entering into debate with anyone. Hopefully you will do the same and we can all speak according to the spirit when disagreements arise. (LET’S TONE IT DOWN A BIT, AND NOT GET SO PERSONAL ON THES ISSUES)

May God Bless you all.

It will take you and mold you into everything you despise,i to apologize to any offended.
My words are His words now!! thats why debate is not for all who claim to be re-newed.
It's a poison, from the head snake, but remember the staff in the wilderness, look upon it and
you'll be healed!!

Amen, Minister QGAgnew. Just as you said, debating is a poison from that head snake Satan. It definitely molds you into something you despise. You telling the truth brother.
Psalm 35:1
Plead my cause, O LORD, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me.
I don’t quite understand the negative vibes received from some on this discussion but I am truly glad that some have chosen to make it less serious and more humorous. I thank God that the message is still clear, even to me. We can still love one another at the end of the day (hopefully...LOL) after having a discussion that may not have all in agreement but also not bickering like a bunch of cackling hens….LOL

Arguing amounts to nothing regardless to what you want to call it. Debate, strife, contention, variance, arguing or bickering it all means the same thing. I for one will take heed to the word literally when it says, they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. I started this discussion asking for forgiveness in my participation in debating and that is all I can do so the ball is no longer in my court. God is still good.
Not really brother!!... It's not debating, you asked a good question. I only have eros love for my husband and the rest of you all would have to fall between agape and philia....LOL
Galatians 5:19-21

19. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
20. Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
21. Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before , as I have also told you in time past , that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Debate, strife, contention, variance, arguing or bickering are all synonyms to each other meaning they have the same meaning.

Now before my opposition go and try finding other translations to say I’m changing God’s word to fit my personal use, I used the KJV as I did to begin with and the meaning will be the same regardless to the translation used. It is my hope that we will heed to what the scripture is trying to say instead of debating over which translation is best. Again, I must say that this discussion was started in an effort to keep peace in the forums.

Be Blessed everyone.
EW stated I started this discussion asking for forgiveness

EW, I forgive you!
Thanks Fugett,

I certainly forgive you too. Be Blessed.
Minister Jenine Said: Thank you for this comment. This is all I ever wanted to achieve. And when we make mistakes, if we have the right heart, look what we can achieve. I am very excited about the outcome. It will be a great example for all to follow. Love you EW.

Amen to all above and the following scripture is for all. Be Blessed

Romans 12:9:10

10. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
