I come from a Pentecostal family(COGIC) the church I attend a Non-Denominational church, but where I'm lost is....when I see one of my church members go to a Baptist event and they say do not speak in tongues at their event. The Full Gospel Baptist Church(FGBC) follow Acts 2:4 and the follow the Baptist doctrine, in other word FGBC is Baptist and they speak in tongues.
What my question is....
Why don't most Baptist churches speak in tongues, it's recorded in Acts 2:4 that God bless us to speak with another tongue?

Any church that teaches people how to speak in tongues is Playing with God. This cannot be taught because it is a gift.

1 Corinthians 12

 1. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
 2. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
 3. Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
 4. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
 5. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
 6. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
 7. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
 8. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
 9. To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
 10. To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
Another language.
Trevor Said: No Saint prays to Satan!

Who said they did?

Tracy Said: When we are NOT praying in tongues, are we not praying to God?

No one said we are not praying to God if we don’t pray in tongues.

Are there any scriptures that says, Satan does understand us when we speak in an unknown tongue unto God?
How can we assume that he does, when the scripture says he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh unto God? Is Satan God? Satan Standing before the throne accusing us doesn’t mean he understands the unknown tongue that we speak unto God.

God Bless.
At the same time, no scripture indicates that Satan DOESN'T understand the tongues. Just because I speak to you, doesn't mean that no one else is reading this message right now! They speak English, so they will be able to clearly read it. You and our soldier friend try to say that Tongues are an encrypted language for a time of war, but the Bible gives no indication of the such. Unknown tongues are however described as "the tongues of Angels" (1st Corinthians 13). Its the native language to the Kingdom culture. Each culture has their own native tongue. Why would this be the case for such?
Trevor do you speak in tongues, AS THE SPIRIT GIVES UTTERANCE? Just asking.

There is no real way to prove or disprove whether or not Satan understands the unknown tongue unto God, because the scripture doesn't say it one way or the other. You can't assume that he does either.

However, we can't refute the FACT that it says he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh unto GOD. And Satan is not God.
True, we do speak to GOD. That scripture however doesn't give the indication that the conversation is private. There is no indication to confirm either argument, so therefore, it would be wrong to teach either side.

And for the record, yes I do, but it wouldn't be considered my strongest of gifts. Its as you say: AS THE SPIRIT GIVES ME UTTERANCE. Most people just go off "as the person gives emotion". That ain't me.......
Like you Bro. Trevor, I, too speak in tongues BUT ONLY as the Spirit gives me utterance and most of the time, it is done in private prayer.
You are a liar, and the truth is not in you
