USE YOUR MIND!
You are born to be successful on the earth. You are loaded with extraordinary potential to make you a star in this world. That means, no matter the color of your skin, gender, occupation or race you have a destiny of greatness. God this given you the gift you need to make that destiny a reality. It is the gift of a sound mind. The Bible says in 2nd Timothy 1:7, “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and love, and of sound mind.” Your mind is a special gift given to you by God to make you a resounding success in life.
A man of God once said; “without the use of mind, no one will mind you” The productive use of the mind is what makes you a success in life. Until you put your mind to work, the world around you will not mind you. The state of your mind is what determines the outcome of your life, that is why you have the responsibility to consciously and positively as a matter of deliberate act to invest in your mind. Let’s understand that what we read, hear and see either positive or negative things by which our mind is fed. Our eyes and ears are the door to our mind. Success, therefore, is a product of the right use of the mind which is determined by how we rightly invest into our mind. That is why there are many crippled people who are successful in life; there are also many physically blind people who are accomplishing great feats in life. But you never find a mad man who is a success in life, it means a man can make it in life without legs, eyes or hands as long as his mind is in place. If you lose everything excluding your mind you have lost nothing, because your mind when allowed to be occupied with God’s word become creative and can bring back all you’ve ever lost, for if you can think, imagine or establish the picture of what you desire, you will be inspired to acquire. But if you loose your mind, you have lost everything. That is while the real battle field of life is the mind IICorithians10:3-5. Until you are displaced in your mind, no power or principality, not even God can move you because God respects the laws that govern the rightful use of the mind.
Fanny Crosby, shortly after her birth, lost both eyes, but to the active use of her mind she rose to become a world famous composer, poet and a tireless home mission worker. At her death, at the age of 95 in 1915, she had written 9,000 hymns which includes “Blessed Assurance”, “To God be the Glory,” “Closer to Thee,” “Pass me not Oh Gentle Savior”’ “Near the Cross”’ “Saved by Grace”, “Safe in the arms of Jesus” and “Rescue the Perishing”. And hundreds of millions of these were sold over.
The use of the mind is what determines the worth of a man, Apostle Paul admonishes us in Romans 12:2; “And be not confirmed to this world: be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is good.” Until your mind renewed, your life will never be transformed. It is mental renewal that births outstanding transformation in life. Every star is first a mental star, and every mental star is bound to be a star. You don’t excel in life until you engage your mind creatively and productively.
God said in Isaiah 1:18; “Come now, and let us reason together”, you reason with the mind. No matter how terrible your situation, f you will use your mind, you will gain access to the good of the land. Remember how the prodigal son wasted his entire means in riotous living. One day he came to himself by the Positive and active use of his mind, just as the actively but negative use of his mind brought him to ruin. He reasoned that if his fathers’ hired servants had enough to eat and to spare, why should he, a son die in starvation. So he rose and walked back into liberty. It doesn’t matter how far and how deep you are, the right use of the mind will restore you back to God’s original order in your life. The mind is your greatest asset in actualizing your destiny of greatness.
Prayer, fasting and speaking in tongues are to enhance the effective use of the mind and not to substitute. How much life delivers to you will be determined by how well you use your mind in productive activity. No situation or challenges can get you stranded when you engage your mind to productive reasoning. The mind is the life-line of destiny. Receive grace now to employ the productive use of your mind in realizing your great destiny. Success is yours forever.
