Who is the antichrist and where does he come from

I have heard many discussions concerning the antichrist, is there any scripture to back up that he will come from a revived roman empire?
or that he will be european?

the spirit of antichrist says that Jesus is not the Christ, that he is not God in the flesh
this is the spirit of antichrist.

This is the acid test so to speak. Many religions believe in a man named jesus, but many deny the virgin birth, they deny he was God in the flesh, they deny that Jesus was the anointed of God.

Islam passes this test while catholicism doesn't

The bible plainly stated that the seven heads are seven mountains which are seven kings or kingdoms.
Notice this woman has sat upon each of the kingdoms being a religious infleunce over them, a false system of worship, one that denies God, and in the endtime denies that Jesus is the messiah.

Five were fallen..........Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Persia,and Greece. One is which was the Roman empire that was in power at that time.
One was yet to come which would be the seventh beast or kingdom with seven heads and ten horns. After the formation of this seventh beast a eighth kingdom would come which would be of the seventh or come into being after the seventh kingdom is formed.

So the seven mountains mentioned here is not pointing to Rome at all

I couldn't agree with you more. Every day I receive reports of persecution of Christians around the globe, and none is at the hand of Catholicism.


Although Catholicism had much to answer for, in particular with it's promotion of Augustine's replacement theology, thus allowing years and years of horrendous persuecution of the Jews, they have now seen the error of their ways, and changed and replaced part of the Catechism.

As you rightly said, Brother Bass, the acid test is the denial of the Christ.Conversely there is only one religion who foundational tenet is that God has NO son.

From my understanding of the Qur'an, Jesus is denegrated to being just a prophet of virgin birth, categorically stating that He did not die, and therefore was not ressurected.

Sadly, you don't believe the facts, Mr. Israel. The fact is:

-Islam is growing faster than Christianity as a whole (all denominations combined)
-The Apostolic Churches are the fastest growing denomination in Christianity, NOT Roman Catholicism, so fast in fact, that it alone is growing faster than Islam.
-1.131 billion Catholic people is a large number, but no where near the world population of 6.789 billion people.
