Internal Enemy
As soon as God empowers you and provides you a weapon to use, He destabilizes your enemies and prevents their escape. In the name of Jesus, every enemy that has turned you into a reproach shall not escape God’s fiery judgement this season.
Deuteronomy 28:7 says if only you can diligently hearken to the Lord and obey His Word, the enemies against you will be struck with confusion; that as they advance in an organized manner, they will scatter in several directions. Every organized army of enemies against you shall be left in disarray in Jesus’ Name.
In Judges 15:11-19, after Samson had victory over his enemies, he could not even say, ‘Thank you, Lord’. The great deliverer has continued to deliver you and perform great miracles in your life, family or church, yet you keep mum.
Many believers have been robbed of greater victories, provisions, breakthroughs and achievements because they failed to appreciate God for past and present blessings. What a great price to pay for little negligence! In the process of time, Samson almost died of thirst and he called on God (verse 18). The one who just killed 1000 enemies with the jawbone of an ass was almost killed by thirst! This shows that external enemies are easier to deal with.
The hands of some believers are not tied with sickness, poverty, reproach, yet they cannot praise God. Even though he later got water through God’s mercy, Samson still became a victim of an internal enemy. Whenever he saw a strange woman, he lost his senses (Judges 14:1-3; 16:1-3). Because he could not control his eyes, he kept looking at what he shouldn’t.
Ask God to deliver you from all internal enemies. While external enemies target your getting to your earthly promised land, the internal enemies hope to stop you from entering your ultimate promised land - Heaven. Deliverance is incomplete until you have victory over both internal and external enemies!
If you can deal with all your internal enemies, external enemies will lose their hold over you.
