Wikipedia states that faith is the confident belief or trust in the truth or trustworthiness of a person, concept or thing. Doubt; being the opposite of faith, is a status between belief and disbelief, it involves uncertainty or distrust or lack of sureness of an alleged fact, an action, a motive, or a decision. Faith and doubt can not coexist together due to they war against each other spiritually. The Bible states in Hebrews 11:1, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Again in the same scripture Heb.11; 6, it reads, and without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Most of us reading this article are of the Christian faith. Though there may be differences in personal ideas or doctrines; in the basic foundation of things, we as Christians have faith in the fact that Jesus Christ is Lord, and that he is returning to claim what is his-amen. The deeper issues come when we as Christians are confronted by those that would be eager to tear down faith, or convert one, yet to another faith. It is when we are unable to defend, or to give an answer to what we claim to hold as truth, due to the confusion of such many ideas. That with such multiply ideas, we may be led to doubt that one or more are incorrect and unsure at best with others. We have to be prepared to defend and answer to what we believe and be ready to stand on it. If there is doubt in your faith, than the foundation on which you stand can crumble, and the enemy of such faith will see it, and use it. Do you know what you believe today?

In 1Peter 3; 15 we read, but in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.(NIV) It is for this reason we must as Christians must know the fundamental truths of the Word of God.; Meaning those things which have no argument. We must Stand on the essentials of salvation and simply allow God to reveal to people the hidden mysteries as they become ready for them. Too many divisions and separations have already been done in the body of Christ due to arguments of doctrine, and the enemy knows where there are divisions, there is also doubt.

All the separations in our body came from doubt that one idea was wrong and so another body was formed to support yet another idea. Through-out the years, more and more separations have accrued I believe due to lack of faith and increased doubt. If we as a corporate body can not come to a finalization of what we stand on as truth, than how can we expect the individuals within the body to be able to do any better? The members of the body must know what it is they stand on, and if there are variations of such truth within the body as a whole then doubt will somewhere and somehow always seem to creep in. Each one of us is to administer truth to those seeking it. The fundamental truths are easily found in the words of our savior Jesus Christ. May we begin to consider lowering the arguments of doctrine and joining in our common interest? As Christian our doctrine is simple, we are to be Christ-like.
