Matthew 15:21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. 27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. 28 Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour. 29 And Jesus departed from thence...

Here goes an unnamed woman who was determined to Take her Life BACK. A woman with a "yeah, but" in her Spirit. Her daughter had become taken of a demon and it was causing some problems in the house. First of all, know this woman of God, #1 Jesus will change His route because of you. #2 Once His purpose is accomplished He moves on.

The Bible calls her a woman of Canaan. She had 3 strikes against her. #1, she was from Canaan, an enemy of Israel, #2 she was a gentile, she wasn't even a believer, she had heard, but she really didn't believe a God like Him could help a woman like her and #3, she was a Woman. Here she stands pleading with Jesus on behalf of her child for His mercy, and He just ignores her, but she refuses to shut up, because demon or not, that was HER child and she wanted her child back, and her life back. Them disciples were trying to get her to shut up, but when it's your child, you don't shut up so suddenly.

This woman knew enough to stand on the Word, and her word was "yeah, but...." she knew she was an enemy, by heritage, she knew she was a gentile, and she knew she was a woman, but she also knew she had faith to believe in the POWER of God. There are some things that IF Jesus don't do it, nobody can. Even in her lame attempt at worship she knew what to say to get His attention. And that was simply, Lord help me. Want to take your life back? Just say, Lord, help me.

He rebuked her and called her a dog, but she maintained her yeah, but. That's because the woman was Persistent, showed Iniative, Courage, Determination and Heart for her child. So no matter how turbulent the storm you are in, no matter how out of touch your child is, no matter how many nights THAT child has had you in tears, maintain your "yeah, but", don't give up, stay persistent and watch God move based on your faith and the commitment of your heart. Fight for your child and Go Get Your Life Back!
