I feel empty today, maybe void is a better word, I'm not even sure! The West Encyclopedia of America defines the word void as:

adj.

1. Containing no matter; empty.
2. Not occupied; unfilled.
3. Completely lacking; devoid: void of understanding. See synonyms at empty.
4. Ineffective; useless.
5. Having no legal force or validity; null: a contract rendered void.
6. Games. Lacking cards of a particular suit in a dealt hand.

n.

1.
1. An empty space.
2. A vacuum.
2. An open space or a break in continuity; a gap.
3. A feeling or state of emptiness, loneliness, or loss.
4. Games. Absence of cards of a particular suit in a dealt hand: a void in hearts.

I'm not sure if it is a good thing or a bad thing but it is something all the same. I'm just not sure of what that is yet. Have I come to that place of emptiness of myself, that the Holy Spirit can now work more effectively within me? Am I empty of all that I thought really mattered and ready to be filled with the things of God? Has the endless vacuum of pain and regret, within me, finally been sucked clean of all its emotional, mental and spiritual demons, sweep clean? Have I played the cards dealt me and finally become content with my lot in life? Right now all I can say is that I am void of understanding and void in heart. I pray that is the starting place for true fulfillment in and through Christ. The end of feelings of loneliness and lose and the bridging of the gap between my soul and my spirit.

Null and Void,
Mommy Dearest

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
