In the society that we are living today, it seems as if Christian values are getting a little lax. It seems as if the Body of Christ is allowing things to go on right in the church, that should not be happening. I would like to hear a response to this. Do you feel that it's right to have a gay Praise Team Leader? How about if the pastor himself or herself is gay? Would this effect your walk with Christ?

Yes, I believe they have a place in the ministry of the gospel, just like liars, verbal abusers, cheaters, etc, UNTIL it is discovered that they are doing either of these. Then, it's time for them to step down from their leadership role in the ministry, but continue membership, and learn and be delivered.

That can be different for the homosexual, in that sometimes that demon is apparent to the natural eye. When it is (and when it is confirmed), yes, that person needs to step aside from the leadership role in ministry, though not the church.

And by all means, any liar, verbal abuser, cheaters, and homosexual, etc. who acknowledges his/her participation in said sin but refuses to acknowledge it as sin must not be in leadership at all. It’s one thing to be bound, but it’s another thing to call that bondage normal and acceptable in the eyes of God.

The person who does so is a rebel to the wisdom of Christ, and rebellion is a sin like witchcraft. It’s left up to the pastor and church leadership to decide what to do, maybe even to the extent of putting that person out of fellowship with others, while offering to continue to counsel, love, pray for and/or visit him or her.
