Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her; to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  Ephesians 5:25-28

Most pastors’ wives are vying for divorce in their hearts without the knowledge of their husbands. They are frustrated in their heart. They go to church and smile with people but are weeping silently. WHY! Pastors, Bishops, Apostles, Prophets loved the Church (Jesus’ wife) more than their wives. And NO woman will accept the husband to love another man’s wife (even Jesus’ wife—church) more than herself. (Read post 1)

God spoke this through Paul because the same frustration Pastor’s wife are facing today, the church in Ephesus were also experiencing same frustration. Then Paul said we are getting this whole thing wrongly—oppositely.  He advice the men especially pastors…

Husbands love your wives as Christ loved the church (Ecclesia). In other words, pastors commit to your wives as Christ is committed to her church. We all know the love Christ had and still has for us. Christ is presently working on his wife (the church) now—washing her with his word, removing every spots, wrinkle, and stain in her life—preparing her for his second coming. Pastors work on your own wife too. (Please read Post 1)

So in the same way as Christ loved the church, husbands love your wives not the church. You can’t take care of the church (Jesus’ wife). She will kill you.  Please Pastors, spend time with your wife—talk to her—romance her. Pray and fast for her. Take her for a launch. Have devotion with her every morning or evening. Wash her with the word of God, remove every stain or wrinkle in her life. Please stop neglecting her in the name of ministry. In fact, ministry begins at home. She needs your attention. Your children need your attention.

Don’t forget. The church is the glory of Christ. Your wife is your glory. The same like children are the glory of parents. Your wife is your true glory not the church you are pastoring. God is not impressed with the number of people in your church (it’s not even your church—Jesus said, “I will build my church”—eh pastors build your wife). He is impress when you take good care of your wife—wash and cleanse her, and remove stain and wrinkle in her life.
