One thing every believer can agree upon is that God is just. But, if all there is to salvation is getting your ticket to heaven punched, then as soon as we accept, believe upon, and confess Jesus as Lord and Savior, we’d be raptured up immediately into heaven.
But we remain after the New Birth. What’s up with that?
The New Birth, contrary to popular belief, is not a religious experience, It is a change of citizenship into a new nation (Colossians 1:13), whose Government, Provision, and Protection CANNOT fail! You become a royal subject of the King of Kings, who delights in the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27).
Okay, I’m about to deal with something wildly unpopular. I feel led – indeed, compelled – to deal with the concept of “covering.” As a Pastor and a Bishop, this topic comes up in my circles with increasing frequency. I have been asked who is my covering and, also, whom do I cover?
The short answers are, the Holy Spirit and no one.
This is my opening salvo – I’ve thrown down this gauntlet before and, for the sake of this tome, I will do it again:
Where, exactly, is the concept or principle of “covering” elucidated in scripture? My contention is that it is not.
I think it shameful that whenever something bad happens to a Christian, folks want to say things like “well, they must be in sin, so God’s punishing them” or “they must be in line for something big, because God is using satan to test them.”
Neither or these premises are true. In fact, both are patent, deadly lies.
2. Job was operating in fear – he offered sacrifices because he thought his kids were living lives unpleasing to God (Job 1:5 AMP).
And when the days of their feasting were over, Job sent for them to purify and hallow them, and rose up early in the morning and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed or disowned God in their hearts. Thus did Job at all [such] times.
We’ve all been taught that it’s not how we start but how we finish that counts. Likewise we’ve been taught that the road to hell is paved with good intentions. While the theme of this message is finishing strong, I want to let you know it’s just as important to start strong.
2 Timothy 4:7-8 – 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.
When Jesus began His earthly ministry, He first sought affirmation through baptism. After the Holy Spirit descended upon Him and God audibly blessed Him, He was led into the desert for a period of consecration – or setting apart – by fasting and being tested by the devil.
I recently posted a link on Facebook enabling you to download our ebook, "satan, Let Me Refresh Your Memory" for free. I am trying to get the necessary momentum to obtain a publishing contract for a print version, and publishers only want to publish books that are in demand.
That said, I am asking for your help. We cannot do this without you.
This book has been a blessing to those who have read it. Don't take my word for it; look it up on Amazon or Barnes and Noble.
It was a blessing to Angela and myself to write this, as it flowed out of a time when we were besieged by the enemy - and the Scriptures and prayers that are in the book helped us to remind the devil that the Standard has already been lifted against him!
Now, because this is FREE, and I have over 1600 Facebook Friends and nearly 1200 Twitter Followrs, of which, about 100 or so have already purchased it, means we should have about 2700 new downloads. Now, imagine if we have 2700 friends who download and read the book (you can read the whole thing in about a day or two) and tell just four friends each, and they download it, read it, and tell four friends, we're looking at 43,200 people with this book in their hands.
Extend this out to the nearly 200,000 (!) people who have visited this website in the last year, and the potential is staggering!
Think this will get a publisher's attention? You bet it will! And it will open the door for our upcoming projects - particularly the one I'm taking the Facebook hiatus to complete.
Use coupon code NE98D (not case-sensitive) at checkout to get your 100% discount!
I only ask that after reading the book, you'll tell at least one friend about it and write a review that you can copy and paste into Smashwords, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
Also, be sure to visit and "like" our Facebook page, www.facebook.com/satanletmerefreshyourmemory (which, by the way, is also free. By that logic, we should have 1600 "likes.")
Your Brother in Christ, Derrick (Bishop Derrick Day)
In the last five months, God has opened doors for us to minister abroad (Nigeria) and to draw world-renown speakers to our Church. And 2013 will be even greater - stay tuned!
If you're in the Phoenix area, we'd love to meet you personally! We meet every Sunday at 10:00AM and every Wednesday at 6:30PM at 10863 W. Surprise Farms Loop S., Surprise, AZ 85388
I was having a conversation with one of my minister friends and he shared with me that he was comfortable where he was. Not that he thought he’d “arrived” or anything, but that he’d reached a point where he was satisfied where he was.
I told him that the “comfort zone” is a dangerous place to be. I don’t ever want to be “comfortable;” I want to be ready for action – in a constant state of agitation.
With 2013 fastly approaching it promises to be a busy time in the Kingdom. I am committed to preaching the gospel of the Kingdom and would like to share with you in ministry. I am available to minister at your upcoming conference, anniversary, revival, or what ever your ministry needs may be. Do not let finance stop you from contacting me. I'm looking forward to ministering at your events in 2013.
