Draw nigh unto God

Some people are weary about drawing near to God, Why do you think that is ? Do you think that it is because they fear what God will do in them? Do you think it is because they are afraid and running from their calling? Why do you think this is? This discussion is for all to reply. What can we minister to a person who is weary about this, how can we encourage them to draw nearer unto him?

Woman of God I believe that people would like to draw near to God but will not submit to His Word...He says that we ought to be Holy because He is Holy....The age that we live in makes it difficult to mortify the deeds of the flesh but in order to serve God in today's day and age We need to be Holy. God is calling his people to a greater standard in Him if we really want to please God we need to "BE YE HOLY". When we can master being Holy and adopt the garmet of Holiness then the garment of SIN will truly disappear...not to say that we are not still sinners but righteous not because of our own but because God indwells in us as my Pastor would say we are a Holy Sanctuary....Pray that this blesses those that are truly seeking to please God....Those who seek Him in Spirit and TRUTH! Let the light of Truth of God so light in your life....

Amen, Cathy I truly agree with your reply and holiness is another factor in becoming closer to God. May the Lord continue to shine down upon you and use you to encourage and lift up others.
