There is an every growing number of what are referred to as Store Front Churches. Many of the pastors express their aspirations to build a large facility. Is it possible however that the Lord did not intend for every small church to grow, in the manner that we think? The majority of Christians who worship house churhces, maintain their small size purposefully. When the gathering isinexcess of 20 indivuduals, one of the members is trained to start their own hosue church. As new converst are brought in the system contiunes. The body of believers is increasing but not the house churchitself. Did nto Jesus say to go and make disciples of all men? I was in a church for10 years where we were traiend to reign. WE had excellent teaching, moves of the Holy Spirit and dynamic praise and worship. Over 1200 people joined this church, but no one ever was sent from the building..There were 22 ministers//elders, butu none were eversent out to plant a church. Their assignments were to serve the pastor. So much tallent and potential bottled up in one building. When oru focus is ongrowing God'skongdom we will not be caught up in our personal goals. I beleive that many struggling smalll churches may have been ordained of God to be house churches and now theyare in debt and struggling to pay utilities and rent etc. and don't know why. Please comment.

Sister -

You just told them why! I am also reminded of Hebrews 11. No, not the "big" names listed there. No, rather I speak of the unknown names of verses 35 - 40, and there are many saints of God throughout the world who are still in these same or related conditions. Kind of give a deeper meaning to "Where two or three are gathered in My name ..."
