Have you ever thought about the reasoning for all of the opposition in your life? Has God called you to greatness? He spoke to Abraham and told him that he was going to make his name great. The enemy is not really fighting you over a title, a position, job, money or social status, the enemy is out to destroy your name. People remember you by your name and if the adversary can run your "name" through the dirt and the mud then he will probably destroy you. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold. Proverbs 22:1. So when you find yourself in the middle of the next scandal where someone is attempting to demoralize your character, remember that they are out to ruin your name. At all costs, protect your name. Your name has value, meaning, purpose, power. Protect the name that God gave you, He says it is more precious than ointment. So be encouraged in the onslaught against you, the enemy is coming for your name. There is significance in your name.
