"My Savior"

My Savior, there is nothing You can't do for me.
I pray that the one's left here, on earth will see
How much You loved them and
Why You died on that cross to set them free.

All the wonders that were given may we be forever blessed.
Only You brought us complete happiness.
Power and majesty is what You are.
Life was given to all, for those ugly scars.

The sound of Your name brings us joy.
It is given to ever little girl and boy.
All of my days, I want to praise
The wonders of Your love.

My conquered, my shelter, my strength
Comes from the One up above.
Every breath I take, let me shout Your Holy Name.
After receiving the Holy Spirit, I will never be the same.

Mountains, and some valleys, I have climbed.
I shout to the earth that I survived!
Now, sin is forgiven and I'm alive.

Nothing compares to the promise I have in You.
You are in my Mind, Heart, Soul, and in everything I do.
Forever, I love You. Forever, I stand
As I spread the King's name all over this land.

My Jesus, my Savior, my Lord; there is none like you.
All of my days, I will praise the wonders of Your love.
For, my strength comes from the one above.

Seizing the Opportunity Wherever You Are
Bishop Keith Butler
And they went forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. Mark 16:20 (KJV)
God has been so good to you that you shouldn't be a closet Christian. On the contrary, you should preach everywhere that Jesus is Lord. Everybody on the job should know you are saved, because you don't hide your Christianity. You are not afraid to bow your head and pray over your lunch. With all God has done for you, you should almost take a pulpit in the lunchroom, and preach instead of eating because God has been so good to you. I am not telling you to do that. I'm just making a point of how thankful we should be at all times for being redeemed with the precious blood of Christ.
I have preached it from the streets of Detroit to the White House. I have let them know that I am saved and I am sanctified and I am fil led with the Holy Ghost. And if they hang around me much longer I am going to pray for them.
A group of us used to go out on the street corner of Cass Corridor and preach the gospel -- where the drug dealers, pimps and prostitutes were. Those pimps would threaten us because we were getting their prostitutes saved. But we preached anyway, because God is good. It didn't matter what they said, it mattered what God did. He sent Jesus to save everybody. That means the folks on the street and the folks in the White House. He didn't leave anyone out.
Some years ago I had the privilege of being on a program in my hometown with one of the presidents of the United States. Someone arranged for me to meet him. So, when I met him I said, "Sir, it's good to see you." As I shook his hand I told him, "I want you to know there is a church in this city that is praying for you. We are born again Christians that believe in the Name of Jesus and the power of the blood an d we are praying for you."
He looked at me, and the Secret Service looked at me. Perhaps they thought, "Here is one of those Jesus freaks, and he's going to do something." But the president broke out into one of the biggest grins and said, "Pray for me." Now I know he was probably thinking 'Pray when you get to church.' But I seized the opportunity right then. I prayed, "In the Name of Jesus, bless this man and show him that Jesus is Lord."
When you get the chance to tell somebody about the power of the Word and the Blood, take it. That might be the difference between heaven and hell for them.

Fill My Cup, Lord

She was kneeling by the bedside.
Her tears feel like the rain.
Her heavy sighs, they whispered
Of all the grief and pain.

I know I never asked, Lord,
For any easy load to bear
And never for an easy road
But just for someone to care.

My burdens, they grow heavy.
My tears, they drain my soul.
Touch me with you hand, O Lord.
Fill my cup and make me whole.

Fill it to running over.
Let your goodness light me way.
Lift my burdens, one by one.
In Jesus' name, I pray.

Tell Them
Bishop Donald Hilliard
"I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ." 1 CORINTHIANS 9:22 TLB
Josh McDowell writes "An executive 'head hunter' who goes out and hires corporate executives for other firms once told me, 'When I get an executive I'm trying to hire for someone else, I like to disarm him. I offer him a drink, take my coat off, then my vest, undo my tie, throw up my feet and talk about baseball, football, family, whatever, until he's all relaxed. Then when I think I've got him relaxed I lean over, look him square in the eye and say - what's the purpose in your life?' It's amazing how top executives fall apart on that question.' Well, I was interviewing this fellow the other day, had him all disarmed with my feet up on my desk talking about football. Then I leaned over and said - what's the purpose in your life, Bob? Without blinking an eye he said 'To go to heaven and take as many people with me as I can.' For the first time in my career I was speechless."
There are basically five reasons why we don't share our faith more often, and not one of them will hold up when we stand before Christ:
(1) We think it's the preacher's job.
(2) We aren't sure of our salvation.
(3) We fear being rejected.
(4) We've never taken responsibility for learning how.
(5) Our love for Christ has grown cold.
But not Paul: he said, "Whatever a person is like, I try to find common ground with him so that he will let me tell him about Christ and let Christ save him."
Can you say that?

Teach Faith to Your Child
Dr. Frederick K.C. Price
Second Corinthians 4:18:
While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
Here is a paraphrase of this verse that I think helps to make this verse more clear. The word seen is not talking about visual perception. And that is what we have a tendency to think of--what we see visually, or from the standpoint of our five senses.
What he is talking about is the difference between sensory perception and spiritual perception. This is the way I paraphrase it:
"While we do not look at the things which are [perceived by the senses], but at the things which are not [perceived by the senses], for [or because], the things which are [perceived by the senses], are temporary [or subject to change]. But the things which are not [perceived by the senses], are eternal [and everlasting]."
If you are going to walk by faith, you cannot allow what you see in the sense realm to dictate the terms of your existence. Remember again, we do not deny the things in the sense realm. They are there, they are real, but they have nothing to do with our faith, unless we allow them to.
The way that we allow them to, is by letting them tell us how to act, what to say, and what to do. We should be letting God by His Word tell us that. When we let God, by His Word tell us, then we are living our lives by faith.
The problem for many people is, when they found out about living by faith, their lives were already in motion. They were already down the road of life, and they had already put into operation some things that they did not realize they were putting into operation, by what they were believing and by what they were saying with their mouths, over a lifetime.
Most people reading this, who are adults, when they found out about the principles of tithing, were already in financial deprivation. Most of us were like that. We had bills up to our eyeballs. We had credit that was stringing us out. We were already financially out of it. We wanted to tithe, but we could not tithe and pay the bills.
Naturally, since we cannot see God and He does not come down here and repossess anything, we figured we could miss paying God. but we had better pay the creditors, because they will come and get the car. They will foreclose on our house, so we had better pay them. Now because we are already in a credit buying mode, it is very difficult for some people to get into a position where they can begin to tithe.
If a person was trained from childhood to tithe, there would be no problem. I have a teenage son and he already knows about tithing. If he does not do what he knows when he grows up, he will get his behind kicked by life. But he had the advantage to learn about this as a child. I did not.
When I found out about this I was already in debtor's prison, so to speak. I was out on bail. I had to play catch up. Had all of us become Christians as children and if we had been taught as children, then we would not have to play catch up down the road.
We did not find out about divine healing, or about walking in faith, until we were already adults. And we had been sewing seeds that had opened the door for the enemy to have a right to put things on us all of our lives without realizing it So now we find out about faith; now we find out about with Jesus' stripes we were healed.
Now what do I do? I get physically attacked with something, and so I attempt to use my faith on it, but do not get any instant results.
The question in reference to faith is, "How do I operate now?" He tells me, do not look at the things which are seen. But I have pain. The x-ray says I have this growth as big as a grapefruit. What am I supposed to do? God said not to look at it.
Rather, you look at the Word of God. You have to realize that God's Word is for God's people. For God's people as babies--as little children. That is the reason why the writer in Proverbs said, train up a child. He did not say, "Train up an adult." He said, train up a child in the way he should go... (Proverbs 22:6)." When you do you will be sowing good seed that will produce a harvest for your children and your future generations to come.

Relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer. Friends, who pray together, stay together.

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this morning. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to you. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear fromYou.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank You that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly..

This is my prayer.
In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Know that you are already Blessed.

Short Cuts

They continue saying things that mean nothing, thinking that God will hear
them because of their many words.
Matthew 6:7 (NCV)

I love the short sentence....What follows are cuts from some of my books and
a couple of others. Keep the ones you like. Forgive the ones you don't.
Share them when you can.

Pray all the time. If necessary, use words.
God forgets the past. Imitate him.
Greed I've often regretted. Generosity--never.
Don't ask God to do what you want. Ask God to do what is
right.
No one is useless to God. No one.
Nails didn't hold God to a cross. Love did.
You will never forgive anyone more than God has already
forgiven you.

No Word, No Faith
Bishop Keith Butler
And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. John 5:38(KJV)
Jesus can see straight through to a man's heart. John chapter 5 is an account of Jesus talking to the Pharisees about having the word of God abide in their heart. He plainly told them that they did not have God's word in them, because they didn't believe that Jesus was sent from God. Had God's word been abiding in their heart, it would have been clear to them who Jesus was. Does His word abide in your heart?
If the word of God abides in your heart you would believe, because when you hear God's word, faith is produced. What does that mean? No Word, no faith. You have the word, you have the power right in your hand, but do you have it in your heart? Sometimes we don't realize it, but we can have the Word in our hand, it can tell us about victory over our circumstances, healing for our body, and increase in our finances. But we must have that Word in our heart so that we can realize that kind of prosperity in our life.
Do you have the Word abiding in your heart so that you can believe God and receive victory, healing, and financial increase? You can receive all you desire when you are filled with the scriptures, because when there is lots of Word in you, then you have lots of faith. But if you don't have any Word in your heart you are not going to have any faith in your heart. No Word, no faith.
The Word tells us in I John 5:14 that this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will it will come to pass. We will have what we prayed for. So we know that if we come to God we must ask according to His will. We must be in line with God's word. Of course we can't ask God for another man's wife, car, or possessions. That is not according to the word of God. The word of God is the will of God. Additionally, we don't go to God saying, "Lord if it be Thy will," when we've already seen His will in His word. He gave us a big Book to clarify to us His wonderful will and purpose for every detail of our life.
You may ask the question, how is it that you are suppose to ask according to His will? After all, John 15:7 says, "If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you." It didn't say anything about His will. Notice that it does not say, abide in me, my words abide in you, you shall ask what He wills and it shall be done. It says that you ask what you will. When His word abides in you, that is His will. The Word is working on your spirit to be conformed to His will. And when the word of God is in your heart, working on your spirit, then you are in a position whereby the word is abiding in you. And in that condition you wouldn't ask for anything that is not according to His will.

A Certain Faith in Uncertain Times
Dr. David C. Cooper
Where do we turn in uncertain times? In times like these Psalm 121 brings a message of assurance: "I will lift my eyes to the hills--where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth." The psalmist looked to a higher source of strength beyond what he could find on a human plane.
The ascent psalms of 120-134 (15 total) were written over a diverse period of time, some by David. They were arranged in their order after the Babylonian exile. They were sung during the festivals of Passover, Pentecost and Tabernacles. The ascent described the upward journey out of Babylon back to Jerusalem. The city of Jerusalem and its temple are always described in Scripture as being "up." We always go up to the house of the Lord. In the Mishnah, the rabbis say that the 15 psalms correlate with the fifteen steps that lead up to the temple although there is no Scriptural support of this position.
Life with God is always an ascent, never a descent. Yet, the fact that it is an ascent reminds us that the walk of faith is indeed a journey not a destination, a direction not merely a decision. The purpose of the arrangement for these 15 psalms is not certain. However, they do begin with the pilgrim in exile and surrounded by pagans (120:5-6) in the land of Meshech, located in central Asia Minor and Kedar, in Arabia. His pilgrimage takes him to the house of the Lord (122:1) and finally, into the presence of the Lord himself where he declares, "Lift up your hands in the sanctuary and praise the Lord" (134:2).
I will lift up my eyes to the hills and to the Lord. The "hills" are Mount Zion on which is at Jerusalem, the Temple and its surrounding mountains. The hills in its plural usage refer to the majesty of God revealed in Jerusalem (see Ps 48:1-2; 125:2). The Lord watches over Israel. The phrase "watches over" appears five times in this psalm. God is the guardian of His people. God is also "the Maker of heaven and earth." Not only is He the Creator, He is the only true God in contrast to the pagan deities of the ancient world (Deut 6:4; Ps 124:8; 134:3).
This psalm calls to a life of complete trust. The affirmation of faith, "I will lift up my eyes." Faith looks up, beyond the limitations of the self and human resources, and trusts the heavenly Father who alone does all things well. Instead of looking out at our circumstances in fear, let us look up in faith!
