Psalm 137- The writer is struggling with an ancient dilema: "How can we sing a song to the LORD in a foreign land?"
A chosen people taken captive in Babylonia-no land, not temple, scattered families-yet they had to find new and creatives ways to worship the LORD. They did. In fact, worship was one of the things that kept them together as a people. They were forced to create worship that spoke directly to their needs.
Question: How can we, as a people of the exile, create or adapt worship that will address our social, econimic, and spiritual needs?
