I'M STILL STANDING

Ephesians 6:13-14 “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness.”


I’m Still Standing

Through my trials and struggles
Through rape, death, and marriage
Through my mess and my tests
Who am I to stress?
The last I checked I was still blessed.
I stand for love, peace, and joy
Strength to go on so I can win this fight
I never knew it could be so much strife.

I’m still standing

Although one thing is clear
I don’t float like a butterfly
Or do I sting like a bee.
But let me tell you so you can truly see
I am above and not beneath
I am the head and not the tail
I am the fear that my enemies have while their asleep
Thinking will she rise, will she?
Then they wake up! To see …

I’m still standing

No need for them to fear anymore
In the air, on sea or land
One thing is for sure
I am here, you can stop the fear
I don’t want to harm or hurt you
But you need to know…

I’m still standing

I am anointed and appointed
Through the storm and rain
Heartache and pain
I am standing, and there is so much I have gained.
Did you know, could you have imagined
You forgot the saying “you can’t keep a good woman down”
Maybe you were just thinking about you.
I see that you really didn’t have a clue.

I’m still standing

Lord, you told me to trust in you
When I could not understand
You said you would always be there to give a hand.
And because of that I can take my stand.
I am still standing, come and see
Although I am not by myself
Because when I stand now!
I am with CHRIST and HE is with me
Thank you JESUS for your stand
