Does prophecy seem confusing to you as you try to decipher the pages? Confusion and fear is exactly what the enemy would have Gods people have. Satan, the fallen angel who rebelled, and was kicked out of heaven along with his followers, doesn't want you to know his doom, the truth and how well it all ends, so fear is his weapon of choice.

God has not given His people a spirit of fear, but the Holy Spirit of power, the Spirit of love, and a sound mind. The exciting part about Revelation is; in the end, we win! Prayer, and the love of God and meditation will aid in understanding as Holy Spirit leads each one into all truth. The word 'Revelation' is used synonymously with the word "Apocalypse" and is the book which wraps up the total truth!

Well, the book of Revelation from beginning to end was written by John the Revelator who was an Apostle of Jesus Christ, banished in his day to an Isle called Patmos in the Mediterranian Sea.
He was the last living Apostle.

The book of Revelation is the revelation of Jesus Christ which the Lord revealed to John, written to the seven churches in Asia. (Not the Asia as we know it today.)

This is the book where Jesus Christ the lamb who was so rejected, is introduced as the Judge and King to come and reign in glory!

On the Isle of Patmos Paul received visions of heaven and earth, filled with the symbols and images mentioned above! God is a God of order, and as we study the book of Revelation we see that the book was given in order. First to Jesus Christ, then to His angel who made it known to John, and John who revealed it to the Churches.

Chapter 1 gives us the first vision:

Are the days we now live the end of the world as we know it?

Understanding, motivation, and (humbleness) will be required, as is with any study of Scripture. Especially with the Book of Revelation and Prophecy. 2 Cor. 8:1
Because of the amount of "symbolism," certain approaches and interpretations, the true meaning of the Scriptures may be lost, making it difficult for many to grasp it's meaning, as there are many
interpretations concerning the prophecy of the book. Although a Mystery, there are many things we do understand. Never the less, God has promised blessings to those who study. "Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near."

Blessings, Faith, and Obedience are three words which we would like to pay close attention to. In chapter 1 through verse 3. These three words will actually prove to be crucial in the prophesied events which are to follow.

(Please see Verse 1 through 2 which is expounded on in the 'Attachment').

There are many 'blessings' mentioned in the Bible. The most notable being the Blessings of Deuteronomy 28 where the scriptures state that, ....."All these blessings shall come upon you and over take you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God;...." Deut. 28:2.

Contrary to popular belief, the real purpose of Prophecy is not designed to make "Prophets." Prophecy as it unfolds, is not given to us so that we can predict the future, who is who, or what will happen when. The word here is 'predict,' which means to make known in advance as in "foretelling," on the basis of having 'special' knowledge. We can only say what is happening as Revelation unfolds according to the Prophetic Written Word. The whole council of the Word. The word here is 'unfold' or fall into place, which fulfillment may consist of the words near and far! Referring to the prophets own day, and future time. The true measure, or test for prophecy is its fulfillment. Our hope is in the return of our Lord and Savior.
