1
Likewise this is the law of the trespass offering: it is most holy.
2
In the place where they kill the burnt offering shall they kill the trespass offering: and the blood thereof shall he sprinkle round about upon the altar.
3
And he shall offer of it all the fat thereof; the rump, and the fat that covereth the inwards,
4
And the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the flanks, and the caul that is above the liver, with the kidneys, it shall he take away:
5
And the priest shall burn them upon the altar for an offering made by fire unto the LORD: it is a trespass offering.
6
Every male among the priests shall eat thereof: it shall be eaten in the holy place: it is most holy.
7
As the sin offering is, so is the trespass offering: there is one law for them: the priest that maketh atonement therewith shall have it.
8
And the priest that offereth any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have to himself the skin of the burnt offering which he hath offered.
9
And all the meat offering that is baken in the oven, and all that is dressed in the fryingpan, and in the pan, shall be the priest's that offereth it.
10
And every meat offering, mingled with oil, and dry, shall all the sons of Aaron have, one as much as another.
11
And this is the law of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he shall offer unto the LORD.
12
If he offer it for a thanksgiving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of thanksgiving unleavened cakes mingled with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and cakes mingled with oil, of fine flour, fried.
13
Besides the cakes, he shall offer for his offering leavened bread with the sacrifice of thanksgiving of his peace offerings.
14
And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto the LORD, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings.
15
And the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings for thanksgiving shall be eaten the same day that it is offered; he shall not leave any of it until the morning.
16
But if the sacrifice of his offering be a vow, or a voluntary offering, it shall be eaten the same day that he offereth his sacrifice: and on the morrow also the remainder of it shall be eaten:
17
But the remainder of the flesh of the sacrifice on the third day shall be burnt with fire.
18
And if any of the flesh of the sacrifice of his peace offerings be eaten at all on the third day, it shall not be accepted, neither shall it be imputed unto him that offereth it: it shall be an abomination, and the soul that eateth of it shall bear his iniquity.
19
And the flesh that toucheth any unclean thing shall not be eaten; it shall be burnt with fire: and as for the flesh, all that be clean shall eat thereof.
20
But the soul that eateth of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, that pertain unto the LORD, having his uncleanness upon him, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
21
Moreover the soul that shall touch any unclean thing, as the uncleanness of man, or any unclean beast, or any abominable unclean thing, and eat of the flesh of the sacrifice of peace offerings, which pertain unto the LORD, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
22
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
23
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, Ye shall eat no manner of fat, of ox, or of sheep, or of goat.
24
And the fat of the beast that dieth of itself, and the fat of that which is torn with beasts, may be used in any other use: but ye shall in no wise eat of it.
25
For whosoever eateth the fat of the beast, of which men offer an offering made by fire unto the LORD, even the soul that eateth it shall be cut off from his people.
26
Moreover ye shall eat no manner of blood, whether it be of fowl or of beast, in any of your dwellings.
27
Whatsoever soul it be that eateth any manner of blood, even that soul shall be cut off from his people.
28
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
29
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, He that offereth the sacrifice of his peace offerings unto the LORD shall bring his oblation unto the LORD of the sacrifice of his peace offerings.
30
His own hands shall bring the offerings of the LORD made by fire, the fat with the breast, it shall he bring, that the breast may be waved for a wave offering before the LORD.
31
And the priest shall burn the fat upon the altar: but the breast shall be Aaron's and his sons'.
32
And the right shoulder shall ye give unto the priest for an heave offering of the sacrifices of your peace offerings.
33
He among the sons of Aaron, that offereth the blood of the peace offerings, and the fat, shall have the right shoulder for his part.
34
For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel.
35
This is the portion of the anointing of Aaron, and of the anointing of his sons, out of the offerings of the LORD made by fire, in the day when he presented them to minister unto the LORD in the priest's office;
36
Which the LORD commanded to be given them of the children of Israel, in the day that he anointed them, by a statute for ever throughout their generations.
37
This is the law of the burnt offering, of the meat offering, and of the sin offering, and of the trespass offering, and of the consecrations, and of the sacrifice of the peace offerings;
38
Which the LORD commanded Moses in mount Sinai, in the day that he commanded the children of Israel to offer their oblations unto the LORD, in the wilderness of Sinai.
Leviticus 8

1
And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
2
Take Aaron and his sons with him, and the garments, and the anointing oil, and a bullock for the sin offering, and two rams, and a basket of unleavened bread;
3
And gather thou all the congregation together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
4
And Moses did as the LORD commanded him; and the assembly was gathered together unto the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
5
And Moses said unto the congregation, This is the thing which the LORD commanded to be done.
6
And Moses brought Aaron and his sons, and washed them with water.
7
And he put upon him the coat, and girded him with the girdle, and clothed him with the robe, and put the ephod upon him, and he girded him with the curious girdle of the ephod, and bound it unto him therewith.
8
And he put the breastplate upon him: also he put in the breastplate the Urim and the Thummim.
9
And he put the mitre upon his head; also upon the mitre, even upon his forefront, did he put the golden plate, the holy crown; as the LORD commanded Moses.
10
And Moses took the anointing oil, and anointed the tabernacle and all that was therein, and sanctified them.
11
And he sprinkled thereof upon the altar seven times, and anointed the altar and all his vessels, both the laver and his foot, to sanctify them.
12
And he poured of the anointing oil upon Aaron's head, and anointed him, to sanctify him.
13
And Moses brought Aaron's sons, and put coats upon them, and girded them with girdles, and put bonnets upon them; as the LORD commanded Moses.
14
And he brought the bullock for the sin offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the bullock for the sin offering.
15
And he slew it; and Moses took the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar round about with his finger, and purified the altar, and poured the blood at the bottom of the altar, and sanctified it, to make reconciliation upon it.
16
And he took all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and Moses burned it upon the altar.
17
But the bullock, and his hide, his flesh, and his dung, he burnt with fire without the camp; as the LORD commanded Moses.
18
And he brought the ram for the burnt offering: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
19
And he killed it; and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
20
And he cut the ram into pieces; and Moses burnt the head, and the pieces, and the fat.
21
And he washed the inwards and the legs in water; and Moses burnt the whole ram upon the altar: it was a burnt sacrifice for a sweet savour, and an offering made by fire unto the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.
22
And he brought the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands upon the head of the ram.
23
And he slew it; and Moses took of the blood of it, and put it upon the tip of Aaron's right ear, and upon the thumb of his right hand, and upon the great toe of his right foot.
24
And he brought Aaron's sons, and Moses put of the blood upon the tip of their right ear, and upon the thumbs of their right hands, and upon the great toes of their right feet: and Moses sprinkled the blood upon the altar round about.
25
And he took the fat, and the rump, and all the fat that was upon the inwards, and the caul above the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right shoulder:
26
And out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before the LORD, he took one unleavened cake, and a cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and put them on the fat, and upon the right shoulder:
27
And he put all upon Aaron's hands, and upon his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before the LORD.
28
And Moses took them from off their hands, and burnt them on the altar upon the burnt offering: they were consecrations for a sweet savour: it is an offering made by fire unto the LORD.
29
And Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before the LORD: for of the ram of consecration it was Moses' part; as the LORD commanded Moses.
30
And Moses took of the anointing oil, and of the blood which was upon the altar, and sprinkled it upon Aaron, and upon his garments, and upon his sons, and upon his sons' garments with him; and sanctified Aaron, and his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.
31
And Moses said unto Aaron and to his sons, Boil the flesh at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and there eat it with the bread that is in the basket of consecrations, as I commanded, saying, Aaron and his sons shall eat it.
32
And that which remaineth of the flesh and of the bread shall ye burn with fire.
33
And ye shall not go out of the door of the tabernacle of the congregation in seven days, until the days of your consecration be at an end: for seven days shall he consecrate you.
34
As he hath done this day, so the LORD hath commanded to do, to make an atonement for you.
35
Therefore shall ye abide at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation day and night seven days, and keep the charge of the LORD, that ye die not: for so I am commanded.
36
So Aaron and his sons did all things which the LORD commanded by the hand of Moses.
Leviticus 9

1
And it came to pass on the eighth day, that Moses called Aaron and his sons, and the elders of Israel;
2
And he said unto Aaron, Take thee a young calf for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering, without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
3
And unto the children of Israel thou shalt speak, saying, Take ye a kid of the goats for a sin offering; and a calf and a lamb, both of the first year, without blemish, for a burnt offering;
4
Also a bullock and a ram for peace offerings, to sacrifice before the LORD; and a meat offering mingled with oil: for to day the LORD will appear unto you.
5
And they brought that which Moses commanded before the tabernacle of the congregation: and all the congregation drew near and stood before the LORD.
6
And Moses said, This is the thing which the LORD commanded that ye should do: and the glory of the LORD shall appear unto you.
7
And Moses said unto Aaron, Go unto the altar, and offer thy sin offering, and thy burnt offering, and make an atonement for thyself, and for the people: and offer the offering of the people, and make an atonement for them; as the LORD commanded.
8
Aaron therefore went unto the altar, and slew the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.
9
And the sons of Aaron brought the blood unto him: and he dipped his finger in the blood, and put it upon the horns of the altar, and poured out the blood at the bottom of the altar:
10
But the fat, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver of the sin offering, he burnt upon the altar; as the LORD commanded Moses.
11
And the flesh and the hide he burnt with fire without the camp.
12
And he slew the burnt offering; and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled round about upon the altar.
13
And they presented the burnt offering unto him, with the pieces thereof, and the head: and he burnt them upon the altar.
14
And he did wash the inwards and the legs, and burnt them upon the burnt offering on the altar.
15
And he brought the people's offering, and took the goat, which was the sin offering for the people, and slew it, and offered it for sin, as the first.
16
And he brought the burnt offering, and offered it according to the manner.
17
And he brought the meat offering, and took an handful thereof, and burnt it upon the altar, beside the burnt sacrifice of the morning.
18
He slew also the bullock and the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons presented unto him the blood, which he sprinkled upon the altar round about,
19
And the fat of the bullock and of the ram, the rump, and that which covereth the inwards, and the kidneys, and the caul above the liver:
20
And they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burnt the fat upon the altar:
21
And the breasts and the right shoulder Aaron waved for a wave offering before the LORD; as Moses commanded.
22
And Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering of the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and peace offerings.
23
And Moses and Aaron went into the tabernacle of the congregation, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of the LORD appeared unto all the people.
24
And there came a fire out from before the LORD, and consumed upon the altar the burnt offering and the fat: which when all the people saw, they shouted, and fell on their faces.
The Books of the Lawtag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2012-04-23:916966:Topic:30079782012-04-23T12:49:34.726ZLadyjd721https://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/Ladyjd721

three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
33
Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
34
And in the candlesticks shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.
35
And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
36
Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
37
And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
38
And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.
39
Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.
40
And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
Exodus 26

1
Moreover thou shalt make the tabernacle with ten curtains of fine twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet: with cherubims of cunning work shalt thou make them.
2
The length of one curtain shall be eight and twenty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and every one of the curtains shall have one measure.
3
The five curtains shall be coupled together one to another; and other five curtains shall be coupled one to another.
4
And thou shalt make loops of blue upon the edge of the one curtain from the selvedge in the coupling; and likewise shalt thou make in the uttermost edge of another curtain, in the coupling of the second.
5
Fifty loops shalt thou make in the one curtain, and fifty loops shalt thou make in the edge of the curtain that is in the coupling of the second; that the loops may take hold one of another.
6
And thou shalt make fifty taches of gold, and couple the curtains together with the taches: and it shall be one tabernacle.
7
And thou shalt make curtains of goats' hair to be a covering upon the tabernacle: eleven curtains shalt thou make.
8
The length of one curtain shall be thirty cubits, and the breadth of one curtain four cubits: and the eleven curtains shall be all of one measure.
9
And thou shalt couple five curtains by themselves, and six curtains by themselves, and shalt double the sixth curtain in the forefront of the tabernacle.
10
And thou shalt make fifty loops on the edge of the one curtain that is outmost in the coupling, and fifty loops in the edge of the curtain which coupleth the second.
11
And thou shalt make fifty taches of brass, and put the taches into the loops, and couple the tent together, that it may be one.
12
And the remnant that remaineth of the curtains of the tent, the half curtain that remaineth, shall hang over the backside of the tabernacle.
13
And a cubit on the one side, and a cubit on the other side of that which remaineth in the length of the curtains of the tent, it shall hang over the sides of the tabernacle on this side and on that side, to cover it.
14
And thou shalt make a covering for the tent of rams' skins dyed red, and a covering above of badgers' skins.
15
And thou shalt make boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood standing up.
16
Ten cubits shall be the length of a board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one board.
17
Two tenons shall there be in one board, set in order one against another: thus shalt thou make for all the boards of the tabernacle.
18
And thou shalt make the boards for the tabernacle, twenty boards on the south side southward.
19
And thou shalt make forty sockets of silver under the twenty boards; two sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets under another board for his two tenons.
20
And for the second side of the tabernacle on the north side there shall be twenty boards:
21
And their forty sockets of silver; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
22
And for the sides of the tabernacle westward thou shalt make six boards.
23
And two boards shalt thou make for the corners of the tabernacle in the two sides.
24
And they shall be coupled together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the head of it unto one ring: thus shall it be for them both; they shall be for the two corners.
25
And they shall be eight boards, and their sockets of silver, sixteen sockets; two sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
26
And thou shalt make bars of shittim wood; five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
27
And five bars for the boards of the other side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the side of the tabernacle, for the two sides westward.
28
And the middle bar in the midst of the boards shall reach from end to end.
29
And thou shalt overlay the boards with gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars: and thou shalt overlay the bars with gold.
30
And thou shalt rear up the tabernacle according to the fashion thereof which was shewed thee in the mount.
31
And thou shalt make a vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubims shall it be made:
32
And thou shalt hang it upon four pillars of shittim wood overlaid with gold: their hooks shall be of gold, upon the four sockets of silver.
33
And thou shalt hang up the vail under the taches, that thou mayest bring in thither within the vail the ark of the testimony: and the vail shall divide unto you between the holy place and the most holy.
34
And thou shalt put the mercy seat upon the ark of the testimony in the most holy place.
35
And thou shalt set the table without the vail, and the candlestick over against the table on the side of the tabernacle toward the south: and thou shalt put the table on the north side.
36
And thou shalt make an hanging for the door of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework.
37
And thou shalt make for the hanging five pillars of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall be of gold: and thou shalt cast five sockets of brass for them.
Exodus 27

1
And thou shalt make an altar of shittim wood, five cubits long, and five cubits broad; the altar shall be foursquare: and the height thereof shall be three cubits.
2
And thou shalt make the horns of it upon the four corners thereof: his horns shall be of the same: and thou shalt overlay it with brass.
3
And thou shalt make his pans to receive his ashes, and his shovels, and his basons, and his fleshhooks, and his firepans: all the vessels thereof thou shalt make of brass.
4
And thou shalt make for it a grate of network of brass; and upon the net shalt thou make four brasen rings in the four corners thereof.
5
And thou shalt put it under the compass of the altar beneath, that the net may be even to the midst of the altar.
6
And thou shalt make staves for the altar, staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with brass.
7
And the staves shall be put into the rings, and the staves shall be upon the two sides of the altar, to bear it.
8
Hollow with boards shalt thou make it: as it was shewed thee in the mount, so shall they make it.
9
And thou shalt make the court of the tabernacle: for the south side southward there shall be hangings for the court of fine twined linen of an hundred cubits long for one side:
10
And the twenty pillars thereof and their twenty sockets shall be of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets shall be of silver.
11
And likewise for the north side in length there shall be hangings of an hundred cubits long, and his twenty pillars and their twenty sockets of brass; the hooks of the pillars and their fillets of silver.
12
And for the breadth of the court on the west side shall be hangings of fifty cubits: their pillars ten, and their sockets ten.
13
And the breadth of the court on the east side eastward shall be fifty cubits.
14
The hangings of one side of the gate shall be fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
15
And on the other side shall be hangings fifteen cubits: their pillars three, and their sockets three.
16
And for the gate of the court shall be an hanging of twenty cubits, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen, wrought with needlework: and their pillars shall be four, and their sockets four.
17
All the pillars round about the court shall be filleted with silver; their hooks shall be of silver, and their sockets of brass.
18
The length of the court shall be an hundred cubits, and the breadth fifty every where, and the height five cubits of fine twined linen, and their sockets of brass.
19
All the vessels of the tabernacle in all the service thereof, and all the pins thereof, and all the pins of the court, shall be of brass.
20
And thou shalt command the children of Israel, that they bring thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamp to burn always.
21
In the tabernacle of the congregation without the vail, which is before the testimony, Aaron and his sons shall order it from evening to morning before the LORD: it shall be a statute for ever unto their generations on the behalf of the children of Israel.
Exodus 28

1
And take thou unto thee Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him, from among the children of Israel, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office, even Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron's sons.
2
And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty.
3
And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
4
And these are the garments which they shall make; a breastplate, and an ephod, and a robe, and a broidered coat, a mitre, and a girdle: and they shall make holy garments for Aaron thy brother, and his sons, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office.
5
And they shall take gold, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine linen.
6
And they shall make the ephod of gold, of blue, and of purple, of scarlet, and fine twined linen, with cunning work.
7
It shall have the two shoulderpieces thereof joined at the two edges thereof; and so it shall be joined together.
8
And the curious girdle of the ephod, which is upon it, shall be of the same, according to the work thereof; even of gold, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen.
9
And thou shalt take two onyx stones, and grave on them the names of the children of Israel:
10
Six of their names on one stone, and the other six names of the rest on the other stone, according to their birth.
11
With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, shalt thou engrave the two stones with the names of the children of Israel: thou shalt make them to be set in ouches of gold.
12
And thou shalt put the two stones upon the shoulders of the ephod for stones of memorial unto the children of Israel: and Aaron shall bear their names before the LORD upon his two shoulders for a memorial.
13
And thou shalt make ouches of gold;
14
And two chains of pure gold at the ends; of wreathen work shalt thou make them, and fasten the wreathen chains to the ouches.
15
And thou shalt make the breastplate of judgment with cunning work; after the work of the ephod thou shalt make it; of gold, of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, and of fine twined linen, shalt thou make it.
16
Foursquare it shall be being doubled; a span shall be the length thereof, and a span shall be the breadth thereof.
17
And thou shalt set in it settings of stones, even four rows of stones: the first row shall be a sardius, a topaz, and a carbuncle: this shall be the first row.
18
And the second row shall be an emerald, a sapphire, and a diamond.
19
And the third row a ligure, an agate, and an amethyst.
20
And the fourth row a beryl, and an onyx, and a jasper: they shall be set in gold in their inclosings.
21
And the stones shall be with the names of the children of Israel, twelve, according to their names, like the engravings of a signet; every one with his name shall they be according to the twelve tribes.
22
And thou shalt make upon the breastplate chains at the ends of wreathen work of pure gold.
23
And thou shalt make upon the breastplate two rings of gold, and shalt put the two rings on the two ends of the breastplate.
24
And thou shalt put the two wreathen chains of gold in the two rings which are on the ends of the breastplate.
25
And the other two ends of the two wreathen chains thou shalt fasten in the two ouches, and put them on the shoulderpieces of the ephod before it.
26
And thou shalt make two rings of gold, and thou shalt put them upon the two ends of the breastplate in the border thereof, which is in the side of the ephod inward.
27
And two other rings of gold thou shalt make, and shalt put them on the two sides of the ephod underneath, toward the forepart thereof, over against the other coupling thereof, above the curious girdle of the ephod.
28
And they shall bind the breastplate by the rings thereof unto the rings of the ephod with a lace of blue, that it may be above the curious girdle of the ephod, and that the breastplate be not loosed from the ephod.
29
And Aaron shall bear the names of the children of Israel in the breastplate of judgment upon his heart, when he goeth in unto the holy place, for a memorial before the LORD continually.
30
And thou shalt put in the breastplate of judgment the Urim and the Thummim; and they shall be upon Aaron's heart, when he goeth in before the LORD: and Aaron shall bear the judgment of the children of Israel upon his heart before the LORD continually.
31
And thou shalt make the robe of the ephod all of blue.
32
And there shall be an hole in the top of it, in the midst thereof: it shall have a binding of woven work round about the hole of it, as it were the hole of an habergeon, that it be not rent.
33
And beneath upon the hem of it thou shalt make pomegranates of blue, and of purple, and of scarlet, round about the hem thereof; and bells of gold between them round about:
34
A golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a pomegranate, upon the hem of the robe round about.
35
And it shall be upon Aaron to minister: and his sound shall be heard when he goeth in unto the holy place before the LORD, and when he cometh out, that he die not.
36
And thou shalt make a plate of pure gold, and grave upon it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO THE LORD.
37
And thou shalt put it on a blue lace, that it may be upon the mitre; upon the forefront of the mitre it shall be.
38
And it shall be upon Aaron's forehead, that Aaron may bear the iniquity of the holy things, which the children of Israel shall hallow in all their holy gifts; and it shall be always upon his forehead, that they may be accepted before the LORD.
39
And thou shalt embroider the coat of fine linen, and thou shalt make the mitre of fine linen, and thou shalt make the girdle of needlework.
40
And for Aaron's sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty.
41
And thou shalt put them upon Aaron thy brother, and his sons with him; that they bear not iniquity, and die: it shall be a statute for ever unto him and his seed after him.
THE BATTLE IS THE LORD'Stag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2012-04-12:916966:Topic:29899382012-04-12T22:37:32.575ZLadyjd721https://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/Ladyjd721

THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD

We all face trials and battles in life- perhaps in our job, our family life, battles against temptation, against thoughts of worry and depression, battles for mental or physical health, as well as spiritual battles for another person or to move forward spiritually ourselves. Whatever fight we face, the Bible reveals the key strategey to experience a victory.

Jehoshaphat shows us God's way to victory in 2Chronicles 20:1-30.

1. ADMIT YOUR WEAKNESS and LIMITATIONS.
O our God, will You not judge them (the enemy)? For we have no power against this great multitude that is coming against us, nor do we know what to do, but our eyes are upon You.(v12)
In the pace of the problem, don't be macho, but be humble and turn to God for His Help. Look to the All-Wise and All-Powerful One. Jehoshaphat knew they were no match for the enemy, so he turned to God in prayer. When you have problems how do you respond-do you look to self or turn to God for help? You can either fight your battles your way, in your own strength, or turn to God and fight it His way, trusting in His power.
God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6)
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. (Ephes 6:12)

2. REALISE THE BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD
Then the Spirit of the Lord came upon Jahaziel...and he said:
Listen..thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed, because of this great multitude (the opposition),
for THE BATTLE IS NOT YOURS, but GOD'S. (v15)

The Lord is mighty warrior in battle and He is with you (Psalm 24:8). When you turn it over to Him, and trust Him and fight it His way, it's no longer your battle but His battle! It is His battle and His Victory.
David used the same phrase for his fight with Goliath:
The battle belongs to the Lord. (1Sam 17:47)
Goliath was much bigger than David. But David's faith was in the God Who is Greater than all. David showed his faith by declaring the victory in advance and giving God the praise for it. Then he attacked the problem, rather than waiting for it in fear. As we go against our Goliath we must declare that our faith is not in ourself but in God.

Say: The battle belongs to the Lord. I submit to You, Lord Jesus, as my Commander in Chief and I will follow your instructions. Yours is the Victory.

In Praise we magnify the NAME of the Lord, lifting up His AUTHORITY over the battle -it is declaring that 'the BATTLE BELONGS TO THE LORD'. When Jehoshaphat did this, God gave him His instruction and strategy to defeat the enemy.

3. POSITION YOURSELF ON CHRIST'S VICTORY.
You will not need to fight in this battle. POSITION yourselves, STAND still and SEE the salvation of the Lord. (v17a)
Take your stand on the finished work of Christ and already see yourself victorious through Christ.
I am more than a conqueror through Christ. I am an overcomer for Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ.
As far as demons are concerned we don't have to try and defeat them ourselves, because Jesus already has done that.
We stand in His victory and praise Him.
We don't struggle against satan's attacks, trials and pressures in our own strength but by faith position ourselves in Christ's victory. (Eph 6:12)

4. FEAR NOT but PREPARE TO ATTACK THE PROBLEM
Don't fear or be dismayed, tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. (v17b)

He himself has said I will never leave....so we may boldly say:
The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do unto me? (Heb 13:5,6).

The Battle is the Lord's so as we go out against the problem, He goes with us and fights for us. This gives us confidence and dissipates all fear. Don't fear, only believe: Trust in the Lord and you will be established,
believe in his prophets and you will have success (victory) (v20)

5. WORSHIP.
Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground
and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem and Judah BOWED before the Lord, WORSHIPING the Lord. Then the Levites stood up to PRAISE the Lord God of Israel with voices loud and high. (v18,19)
Worship is the attitude of complete surrender to God and His will.

These physical positions represent an attitude of heart of offering ones body as a living sacrifice unto obedience (Rom 12:1) "(First) Submit yourselves to God. (Then) Resist the devil (the enemy), and he will flee from you" (James 4:7) This is important in the Battle against Sickness. Often those who came to Jesus for healing worshipped at his feet. (Matthew 8:2) Surrendering themselves and their bodies made them fully receptive to God's Healing Power, which then flowed into their flesh and made them whole. (Praying in tongues is an effective way to surrender your tongue to God as an act of worship)

6. ATTACK THE PROBLEM WITH PRAISE.
So they rose early in the morning.. and Jehoshaphat appointed those who should SING to the Lord and PRAISE the Beauty of Holiness, as they went out before the army and were saying: PRAISE THE LORD. FOR HIS MERCY ENDURES FOREVER. (v20,21)
Their positive attitude is shown in rising early. The Praisers (the choir) went in front of the army. This is God's strategy for victory-to attack the problem with Praise. When under attack we should march forward praising God for the victory rather than retreating in fear. This was a March of Faith. Imagine what would have happened if God had not intervened! They were to demonstrate their faith by praise.

You can do this at home - rise up early and march into the day saying: Praise the Lord, for His mercy endures forever.
As you go forth with praise, God marches with you for:
He is enthroned (as King) on the praises of His people. (Ps 22:3)
Because God is with you, you have nothing to fear. As you praise Him, He goes before you and fights for you, and gives you the breakthrough
- for the battle belongs to the Lord. As a result the enemy will be scattered (Ps 68:1) - he flees because God comes on the scene!

Going into battle in your own way and your own strength is to say: the battle belongs to me, which invites failure because God will not fight for you. Going into battle with praise is fighting under the Lord's banner, submitting to His way of warring and trusting in Him for victory.
It is saying: The battle belongs to the Lord. Giving the battle to God and submitting to Him will bring success, because He wll fight for you.

The key to winning your battle is PRAISE.

Psalm 8 is about Praise and its effects.
O Lord, our God, how excellent is your Name in all the earth. (v1)
Praise is declaring the excellency of God's Name (character)
Out of the mouths of babes and nursing infants you have ordained (established) PRAISE (strength), because of your enemies that You might silence the enemy and the avenger.(v1,2)
Praise is God's ordained method to stop satan's work in every christian's life (that even a spiritual baby can use) How do you silence mental torment?-by praise! It's the way out of depression and bondage.

Firstly, praise strengthens us (for by it we enter God's presence where there is fullness of joy and the joy of the Lord is our strength, as we praise God, His anointing is released in us- Ps 100:4, 16:11, Neh 8:10)
Secondly, it silences the enemy and destroys his work.
This is God's ordained method to do this.

God silences satan in our life as we lift up the Name of Jesus and declare God's Word (His written judgements on satan) Let the High Praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand (the Word), to execute vengeance (on satan), to bind their kings (demons) with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron, to execute on them the judgement written (in the Word): this honour have all His saints. Praise ye the Lord" (Psalm 149:6-9).

As we magnify the Lord, not only does the problem get smaller in our mind, as the Lord gets bigger, but also the demonic powers behind it are confused and their power broken. Christ's Victory and Judgement upon satan was accomplished on the cross; was written in His Word and is now in the Name of Jesus. When we lift up the Name in praise, using the sword of the Word to declare Christ's victory and satan's defeat, then these written judgements are executed on satan and he is bound.

When problems or satan or trials come and speak to you saying:
You are a defeated failure - you might as well give up, you are not strong enough to win.

Then we answer: Yes but I am not alone. The Battle is not mine-the Battle belongs to the Lord. He has already overcome you and I will praise Him and His victory will soon be manifested in me, for his faithful love to me endures for ever.

God's way to victory is to go out against the problem with PRAISE.

Jehoshaphat appointed men to SING to the Lord and PRAISE the beauty of holiness, and they went out before the army saying:
PRAISE THE LORD. For His Mercy endures forever. (v20,21)

This is the chorus of Psalm 136 which is probably the complete version of what they sang and has the rhythm of a marching song with the leaders singing the verse and the rest responding with the chorus:
For His mercy endures forever:

O give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good
-for His mercy endures forever
O give thanks unto the God of gods-for His mercy endures forever
O give thanks unto the Lord of lords-for His mercy endures forever
To Him who alone does great wonders-for His mercy endures forever
To Him that by wisdom made the heavens-for His mercy endures forever... (v1-5)

To Him who smote Egypt in their firstborn-for His mercy endures forever
And brought out Israel from among them-for His mercy endures forever
With a strong hand and an outstretched arm-for His mercy endures forever
To Him who divided the Red Sea into parts-for His mercy endures forever
And made Israel to pass through the midst of it-for His mercy endures forever
But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea-for His mercy endures forever. (v10-15)

To Him Who led his people through the Wilderness-for His mercy endures forever
To Him Who slew great and famous kings-for His mercy endures forever
Sihon, king of the Amorites and Og of Bashan-for His mercy endures forever
and gave their land for an inheritance to Israel His servant- forHis mercy endures forever
Who remembered us in our low estate-for His mercy endures forever
And has redeemed us from our enemies-for His mercy endures forever
Who gives food to all flesh-for His mercy endures forever
O give thanks to the God of heaven-for His mercy endures forever (v16-26)

The theme is God's MERCY-a word that means Covenant-Faithfulness and Loving-Kindness that He shows to His people despite their failings and weaknesses.

Each verse gives an example of His Mercy (Faithfulness) to Israel
From Creation. (v1-9),
From Redemption from slavery in Egypt. (v10-15), and
From the Victories He gave them in possessing the Promised Land. (v16-26)

The verse gives thanks for this mercy, then comes the chorus:
for His mercy (faithfulness) endures forever which praises God for His unchanging faithful character. Each testimony of God's mercy is but a manifestation of who He is.

This Psalm is an example for us.
We can march round our room proclaiming: His mercy endures forever

Give thanks for each of the blessings and provisions of God's wonderful Creation, followed each time by the chorus: For His mercy endures forever.

Then give thanks for your redemption by the Blood of Jesus and deliverance from the power of sin and satan (Egypt and Pharaoh) through the New Birth

Then give thanks for the victories in your Christian life:
(1) For guidance in the wilderness of hard times,
(2) For breakthroughs and deliverances as God helped you to overcome the enemy and possess more of your promised land (God's promises)
(3) For Promotions and God lifting us up into a higher life.
(4) For Answers to prayer for basic needs for finance and healing (food for the flesh).
(5) For God's empowering you to minister to others,
so that through you, satan's power over them was broken.

It's so important to REMEMBER what God has done for us.
Our faith that God will bring us through the present battle can only be as strong as our confidence in His Faithfulness. What God did for us in the past is evidence of His Faithful and Loving Character. Giving thanks for what God has done is a launching-pad for praising His Faithfulness.
I give You thanks for (.....)-for Your faithfulness endures forever

His Faithful-Love is shown by all He has done in the past
and the fact that it 'endures forever' means He hasn't changed
and He will also bring me through the present problem as I trust Him.
The same God Who brought Israel through the Red Sea, Who delivered the 3 boys from the fiery furnace, Who raised Jesus up from the grave, is with me now and will deliver me in this trial! If God did so much for us in the past will He not help us now and give us the victory? God gives us the victory in this situation too-for His mercy endures forever!

So as they marched out thanking God for all His past demonstrations of mercy, they were also declaring their faith that He had not changed and would give them victory that day also.
They were proclaiming that the power of their faithful God was present with them to give them success.

We also proclaim: Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through my Lord Jesus Christ. (1Cor 15:57, also Rom 8:37,2Cor 2:14)

As we give thanks for PAST blessings and praise His unchanging Power and Loving-Faithfulness, our faith grows stronger that He will give us the victory in the PRESENT conflict. Israel's faith in God to give them the victory was based on His faithfulness which He'd proved to them again and again.

We also know God's love and faithfulness:
from creation
from our salvation,
from the stories in the Bible,
from testimonies of Christians
and from the times God has intervened in our lives.
As we remember and thank Him for the victories and blessings of the past, and praise His greatness, our faith is built and the problem seems small compared to the God Who is with us.

God's instruction for our spiritual battles is for us to praise, for as we honour the Lord and build up our faith in Him, the atmosphere is set for God to move in power. As we go through the valley of the shadow of death, we will not fear for He's with us to fight for us and defeat our enemies (Psalm 23) The Battle is not ours but the Lords, if we march under His banner of praise.

THE INEVITABLE RESULT OF OBEDIENCE is VICTORY.
When they began to sing and praise, the Lord sent ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab and Mount Seir, who'd come against Judah and they were defeated. For Ammon and Moab came against the people of Seir to utterly kill and destroy them and when they'd made an end of them, they destroyed one another (v22,23)
The timing shows that the key to victory was their obedience to move forward in praise. The real victory was the Lord's- it all took place out of their sight. They later saw the manifestation of the spiritual victory as found the opposion defeated and all dead. (v24)

God's ways may not make sense to us. We may ask: how will praising God at the start of the day going to help my problem. I don't have time-I must worry more, I must do something!
But as we obey and PRAISE, God fights for us in the invisible spirit-realm and our eyes will soon see the victory. If we praise Him, then God will release His power for us and confuse, scatter and destroy any opposing forces.

THE FRUITS OF VICTORY
(1) The Spoil speaks of Abundant Life (v25)
(2) A new spirit of gratitude (v26)
(3) Joy: the Lord made them rejoice over their enemies (v27,28)
(4) Peace and rest on every side.
When you win a battle decisively you're less of a target. The fear of God comes upon your enemy. Because God fought for you-he will think twice before attacking again.(v29,30)

The Rod of Moses in Exodus 17:8-16 also gives us an OBJECT LESSON in spiritual warfare. Victory in spiritual battles comes as we rely upon the Lord to fight on our behalf. While Joshua fought the enemy Moses lifted up the ROD, which represents the NAME or AUTHORITY of God. Lifting up the rod was exalting and praising the Name of the Lord, putting the battle under God's authority. The raised rod signified they were trusting the Lord, acknowledging that the battle was His, that they were looking to Him for victory and the result of doing this was always success.

The rod acted as a power conductor. When pointed to heaven God's anointing was released into His people and power was released against the enemy. When the rod came down the result was failure, for they were then fighting their own battle, depending on their mere natural strength. As we lift up the Name of Jesus in praise we will see success in battle.

God showed that this battle revealed an eternal principle of victory to be always remembered by revealing one of His Names:
'Jehovah Nissi'= The Lord is our BANNER, using it to name the place.

Banners are held up by armies marching into battle -showing in whose Name they were fighting and whose power they were trusting in for victory. So this Name also means: The Lord is our VICTORY.
When they fought under the Lord's Banner they had Victory.
By associating His eternal Name with this battle God was saying it was no 'one-off' but reveals how He gives victory to His people at all times and places, for His Name is Who He is.

If we lift up His NAME (His power and authority) in praise, declaring our faith in Him, saying: THE BATTLE and THE VICTORY BELONGS to THE LORD then He manifests Himself to us as our Banner, covering us with His power and protection, and giving us victory.

The Lord is saying: If you trust in Me and acknowledge Me as your Banner and Victory, that the battle belongs to Me, then I will manifest My Victory to you.

If we fly the Banner of Praise- then the Lord will manifest Himself as our Victory.

JOSHUA and JERICHO also reveals the principle of 'the Battle belongs to the Lord' Jericho stood in the way of their entry into the promised land. In Joshua 5:13-6:5 the Lord gave Joshua the battle plan. After marching around it for a week, in faith they were to blow the trumpets and give shouts of praise and victory. Shout-for the Lord has given you the victory. (6:16). You know what happened!
When you come against a walled-city opposing your progress,
then attack it with shouts of praise and see the falls fall down flat.
Richard Groover Available Speaker for Bookingstag:abcpreachers.ning.com,2011-09-28:916966:Topic:26593962011-09-28T04:14:13.780ZBishop Richard Grooverhttps://abcpreachers.ning.com/profile/RichardGroover
