Chief-Apostle Rodrequez M. Dover, PhD is a native of South Carolina where he was cultured and educated. Born Rodrequez M. Dover, he was the first of nine children to his dad, Ricky B. McCrorey, and the second son out of three children to his mother, Wanda. Dover. Apostle Dover was reared by who he knows to be his beloved Grandfather James O. Harris and his mother and sister-all being Holy Ghost filled. The three people that reared him was symbolic to the Trinity--Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. He is married to Elder Ronnette M. Dover and his love for his wife is as strong as Christ love is for Church.
Apostle Dover was filled with the Holy Ghost at a young age of six under the Ministry of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church under the evangelistic leadership of Pastor Abate (Richburg, SC). Apostle Dover was confirmed a Prophet of God at the age of twelve under the leadership of the Pastor W.J. Baxter at Loving Charity Baptist Church (Richburg, SC). Between the ages of seventeen and twenty, it was evident by the plethora of demonic attacks assigned to Apostle R.M. Dover’s life that he was destined for a Kingdom Building Assignment.
At the age of eighteen, Apostle Dover relocated to Lancaster, SC to embrace his destiny. Serving under the umbrella of The Late Honorable Chief-Apostle Jerome Henderson and Apostle-Elect Joyce Harris (New York, NY) as a Prophet, he learned the meaning of covenant and acquiesced to a commitment to God that would lead him to the next level of education for purpose. This was acquired through years of servitude to The Late Honorable Chief-Apostle Jerome Henderson. It was here that Apostle Dover answered his call to the Pastorate.
On April 24, 2005 in Lancaster, SC with twelve members (of which two serve in the Pastoral ministry with the New Hope Apostolic Church), he birthed Shining Light Ministry Inc. God prospered the ministry in the first year to over one hundred and seventy souls. Shining Light Ministry Inc. is under the leadership of the Presiding Prelate of the S.E.A.M. International Fellowship of Churches, Inc.--Chief-Apostle Rodrequez M. Dover, PhD.
On May 3rd 2009, Apostle Rodrequez M. Dover was affirmed as a Chief-Apostle in the Apostolic Movement of God. Apostle Dover was affirmed by Chief-Apostle Florence Lee Horton-Bryant, Chief-Apostle Clavon Leonard, Chief-Apostle Lavon R. Gilmore, Jr., Apostle Annette Hall Ross, Apostle Corey Lipscomb, Prophetess Tyressya Horton, and Prophet Lorenzo A. Moore.
Apostle Rodrequez M. Dover proudly stands his assignment as Chief-Apostle over S.E.A.M. International Fellowship of Churches, Inc. Apostle Dover has birthed out Shining Light Ministry (Lancaster, SC), Shining Light Ministry (Shelby, NC), Shield Equipping Apostolic Ministry (Charlotte, NC), A Gift of Love Ministry (Charlotte, NC), Shield Equipping Apostolic Ministry (Martinsville, VA), Greater New Hope Apostolic Ministry (Brooklyn, NY), and Shield Equipping Apostolic Cathedral (Erie, Pennsylvania), Shield Equipping Apostolic Cathedral (Rock Hill, South Carolina)
When you really look at it, the church has become a “business operation”. We have all of these conferences, where you have to pay all of this money to attend. You hear more about wealth, than you hear about trying to build a Christian spirit…
It makes me sad to think of so-called leaders in the black community talking about repositioning yourself, empowerment this and empowerment that and folks is dying spiritually and physically. How about we empower ourselves to preach the gospel! Instead of another seminar on how to have a successful business, how about we have a seminar on how to get saved!
I was looking at Jeremiah 23 this morning: ”But if they [these false prophets] had stood in My council, then they would have announced My words [not their words] to My people, and would have turned them back from their evil way and from the evil of their deeds.” Jer. 23:22 That’s interesting, because it seems as if history had already begun to repeat itself!
