- ... A man of Greatness, A man of Integrity, A man of Inspiration, A man of Power....., A MAN of GOD! “As long as you follow the need, there will always be something to do,” Tavis Smiley. After recently accepting my call to ministry, these words and many other similar messages have greatly inspired and motivated my mindset for ministry. As every minister who’s been called, especially at a young age, we immediately have to begin preparing our lives through study for mental and spiritual growth. My goals are to go to undergraduate school, and earn my B.A in Pastoral Studies and Counceling. My goals later are to grow a congregation, and build an international ministry for poverty from neighborhoods to countries. My desire is to change the world. I have developed a love for the community. Leaders and political figures such as Eddie S. Glaude Jr, Cornel West, Tavis Smiley, Rev. Martin Childs Jr., and many more have inspired me to go into this field from my observation of their talents of leadership and inspiration. I want to study this subject and be an inspiring leader for the people to serve and change the community as well. My desire also is to go to school and look more into the social and economical problems and their roots to find solutions from studying the history of different cultures. I am excited to have the opportunity to go to college. I am excited to have the opportunity to minister.
