“The little Girl”
“The little Girl”
We see your smile and we imagine that you have the world
We see your face and know you that you are a pretty girl
I have seen men stop in their tracks just to get a glimpse of you
You are the fantasy and dream and why men act like fools
Your laugh is the sound that makes men write love songs
Your body is the fuel and reason for sick men doing wrong
You wouldn’t change how God made you that wouldn’t be right
You are the artwork of the father and you pleasing to the eye
But when does it stop, when do people truly see you for you
You are a girl whose souls is sad and running from the truth
A little girl trapped in the body of an adult woman in pain
If only you could be really heard you tell of your shame
Tears are your bedmates and they do listen to your story
They don’t question you at all and they don’t ask for more to see
I am in awe of you and I know of your intelligence
You mind is also beautiful it’s the blueprint to your intellect
You give much of you when he doesn’t give of himself at all
You buy him cologne and clothes and the finest things at the mall
You tell him that you love him and he is your king
He ignores your heart and never knew that he had a queen
Young in most of your ways you have been played and misused
You have cried tears of stress and have lived so confused
God knows you your mind and he knows of your exterior
He knows of your heartaches and your thoughts of feeling inferior
He looks and your heart and sees your needs
You are his little girl in you he is well pleased.
