At 6:32pm on April 17, 2010, Pastor R.J. Stepherson said…: hey Doc, it's been a long time since we connected but it's all good. Yeah we officially have acquired a new pastor at New Mount Vernon. He was the pastor and founder of Joy Road Baptist Church, Dr. James Flakes. He retired back in 05' I think but he stated to the congregation that He is only becoming the pastor under one condition, and that is to train one of the associated he deems capable of taking over the congregation. So for now he's making changes and setting things in order, which are needed. But how are things going for you, by now you should have done your engagement in KY, how did it go? Should I be calling you Pastor now? And yes I am still looking for a possible congregation of my own that God wants me to have even though I have been slacked on at Ford as a janitor, my schedules have been switched just about every week and when I get adjusted to one schedule they switch me back so I haven't been doing anything but sleeping. but man hit me up sometimes this computer conversations can be far in between if you don't check you messages often (like me!!) cell 313-686-9162 we would love to hear from you and all the great things that going on in your life. peace

I mentioned to Emmanuel Jennings (Terriel) that I was conversing with you and he told me to tell you hey. Looking forward to seeing you in one of our worship hours. Pastor Flakes has really been drawing the people back to church and the moral and spirit is coming back to NMV. I just hope and pray that the best will come out of this whole process. Mainly, the Right Man of God will be at NMV who will lead them to the next level. Well doc, I will holla at you lata, Be blessed and stay saved!!
