What I Believe In

1. We believe in one God, Creator and sustainer of all things, infinitely perfect, holy, and eternally co-existing in three persons--Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who are omniscient, omnipotent and omnipresent.

2. God the Father: We believe in God the Father, who is the infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love; that He mercifully concerns Himself in the affairs of mankind; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

3. Jesus Christ: We believe Jesus Christ is God; that He is God’s only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin. He freely laid aside His glory, humbled Himself and became incarnate as a man. We believe Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and mankind.

4. The Holy Spirit: We believe the Holy Spirit is God. He came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgment. (John 16:8) The Holy Spirit is the agent of regeneration and sanctification for believers in Jesus Christ. We believe in the present and interactive ministry of the Holy Spirit and in all the spiritual gifts described in the Bible, which He continues to give today.

5. The Atonement: We believe in the shed blood and substitutionary death of Jesus Christ for the atonement of our sins. We believe that He was buried for three days and three nights and afterward was bodily resurrected from the grave. His sacrifice provides the only ground for justification, forgiveness and salvation to all who put their faith in Him.

6. Salvation: We believe that accepting and confessing Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, asking Him to forgive our sins, and putting our faith in him, we are regenerated though the Holy Spirit. This results in a spiritual rebirth as we become a new creation in Him.

7. Christ’s Resurrection: We believe Jesus Christ physically resurrected from the dead and ascended into Heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father, forever making intercession for us. Just as He resurrected from the dead, His resurrection is the guarantee of the resurrection unto eternal life for all who put their faith in Him.

8. Water Baptism: We believe in the ordinance of baptism in water by immersion, a public expression of our faith and identification in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

9. Baptism in the Holy Spirit: We believe in the baptism and the infilling of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, which empowers, strengthens and comforts, and is usually accompanied by the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the believer’s life.

10. Second Coming: We believe in the literal, physical, personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His earthly Kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgment and the eternal blessing of the righteous, as well as, the endless suffering for the wicked.
